Inn Rooms The Fountain Room The Fountain Room is located upstairs with a King bed, gas fireplace, and sitting area with two cozy swivel rockers. The Goldilocks Room The Goldilocks Room is located upstairs and has a King bed, pine armoire, sitting area, and private bath with antique claw foot tub and shower. The Three Bears Room The Three Bears Room, also located upstairs, has a King bed, Jacuzzi tub, beamed cathedral ceiling, sitting area, gas fireplace, cable TV, mountain view, and private bath. The Fireside Room The Fireside Room is located downstairs and has a Queen bed, cable TV, an original (non-working) fireplace, and private bath. Guest Suites The Queen Suite The Queen Suite, also in the Main House, has two bedrooms - one Queen and one Double, and mountain views from each room. There is a living area with cable TV, gas fireplace, refrigerator, and private bath. Also, its own entrance, as well as an entrance to the inn. The Master Suite The Master Suite is in the connecting 1796 Carriage House. This 500 sq. ft. room offers deluxe King bed, gas fireplace, cable TV, DVD player, refrigerator, two-person Jacuzzi tub, separate shower, sitting area, and a private hot tub overlooking the Mountain.

The house has several architecturally significant features, including corner fireplaces and a large flagstone paved basement floor. The foundation walls are still admired by masons who consider the immense labor necessary for such an undertaking. With a wraparound porch, perennial gardens and panoramic views of Mount Mansfield and the Sterling Range, the setting invites relaxation and renewal. A cozy dining room, fireplaced living room, and discreet sitting and game room complete the inn experience "where everything is just right."
In summer, breakfast is served on our deck that overlooks Mount Mansfield and the Sterling Range, a magnificent vista. In winter, we serve in the architecturally unique, fireplaced breakfast room. Vermont products are used whenever possible along with fresh vegetables and herbs from our own gardens. Daily changing menus offer: Green Mountain Coffee, assorted juices, a selection of fresh fruit, coffee cakes, muffins or sweetbreads, and a hot entree. Guest favorites include pasta-vegetable frittatas, raised pumpkin waffles, omelets, eggs Benedict, buttermilk-oat pancakes, Creole crepes and raspberry-cream stuffed fresh toast. Special dietary needs are always accommodated.

Reservation/Cancellation Policy - Advance deposit of 50% is required by credit card. Single-night stays are charged in full at time of booking.
- Deposit is refundable for cancellations made prior to 15 days (30 days during Foliage and Holiday periods).
- A $25 administrative fee will be deducted from the amount of the refunded deposit.
- Payment in full is due upon arrival.
- No refunds made for delayed arrivals or early departures.
- Check-in is from 3 - 9 pm.
- Check-out is at 10:30 am.

Three Bears at The Fountain re-opened in 2009. Suzanne and Stephen Vazzano are again welcoming travelers to Stowe's oldest and most historic lodging. Interior renovations and updated amenities have re-awakened the charm and warmth of The Fountain. In our desire to create a complete guest experience, we have added amenities and services. We look forward to greeting previous and new guests. Three Bears at the Fountain is a six bedroom Bed and Breakfast located in Stowe, Vermont, just one mile north of Stowe's restaurants, shops, year round activities, and the East's best skiing.
