Not only do we offer many wonderful amenities, but we offer a few unusual ones as well. Come take a look....
Lift off from the backyard of the Inn for a thrilling hot-air balloon flight and soar over the magnificent Quechee Gorge, enjoy a dip in our tranquil pond where you will swim in crystal clear drinking water, exercise in our spacious and well-equipped workout room or pamper yourself with a soothing massage, performed in the luxury and privacy of your guest room. The panorama of distant views is striking and our guests come here to relax, unwind and savor simple pleasures of country life.
Don't forget to inquire about our on-site hot-air ballooning and private massage therapy
With old fireplaces of brick and stone, a wrap-around porch, glimmering swimming pond, gazebo, pergolas, magnificent country barns and an enchanted guest cottage, this property reflects peace and tranquility. Accessible, yet private and far from the bustling city, our guests will enjoy this superb escape.
The dock at pond-side is the perfect location to relax and unwind. It's a wonderful escape from crowds, traffic and noise.
Awaken each morning to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee followed by a savory breakfast. Although the dining room possesses all the prerequisites for formal elegance, the atmosphere is cheerful and relaxed.
Day's end will find our guests gathered in the library, playing cards, backgammon, monopoly or just curled up with a glass of wine, a good book and listening to soft music. Our guests are also invited to enjoy the facilities in our workout room. With advance notice, a massage therapist is available to pamper and indulge.
For the more adventuresome guests a hot air balloon ride is available. With advance notice and weather permitting, lift off from the farm's back lawn on an unforgettable journey. Perhaps you may wish to slow down the pace and explore the local farms, fields and forests, ever-changing with the seasons. Or you may enjoy to picnic in the meadow or by the pond. In winter, our glistening white, snow-covered fields may tempt you to practice up on your cross-country skiing skills.
Travelers are always looking for memorable and relaxing experiences. Let’s discover more through the words of our innkeepers. Many thanks to Tina DeLuca for sharing her own secrets with BBOnline.com! Why do most travelers stay at your inn?
Above-and-beyond service, great location adjacent to the Quechee Gorge, beautiful views, professionally decorated inn and guest rooms, the exciting ability to lift off from the backyard in a hot air balloon or even land your helicopter.
What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?
I go out of my way to make sure my guests feel welcomed and comfortable. I offer helpful suggestions for dining and sightseeing. I have made print-outs of directions for some great back roads drives and adventures. Unique? Hot- air balloon flights from the backyard, plus a convenient landing spot for private helicopters. I love the location - a definite country feel but convenient to most towns and attractions - and you can't beat the striking distant views from across the Quechee Gorge!
If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?
#1 Reason is to take a hot air balloon flight and soar over and into the Quechee Gorge - and maybe if you're lucky, float just over the river, with the basket touching the water or even float right under the gorge bridge! I've always wanted to do that but it takes perfect weather conditions and timing........
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?
Best Compliment - "We have traveled the world and love to stay in B&B's vs. hotels. As far as the whole package, yours is #1 on our list. We will recommend your inn to everyone we know and you can expect to see us for many repeat visits. You operate one outstanding inn and you are one outstanding innkeeper!"
What’s the best kept secret about the area?
Hot air ballooning into the bottom of the Quechee Gorge and floating right over the waterfall by Simon Pearce Restaurant.
If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?
Hike the Quechee Gorge, take a balloon flight, walk along the carriage trails on Mt. Tom, visit VINS, tour the Rockefeller Mansion, visit Billings Farm, drive the back roads and visit covered bridges and pristine Vermont villages, visit Gillingham's General Store and the Vermont Country Store, watch glassblowing at Simon Pearce, kayak the Connecticut River, take a fly fishing lesson, rent bicycles and explore the back roads, rent an inner tube and float the White River, visit our hidden swimming holes, explore the unique shops in the village of Woodstock, explore our antique shops, ski Killington, Suicide Six or the Quechee Club, snowshoe at Wilderness Trails and I could go on and on. People don't realize how much there is to do in Vermont.
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?
The Quechee Gorge, Quechee Village, Simon Pearce Restaurant and Glassblowing, the Quechee Covered Bridge
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?
Prince and Pauper in Woodstock, VT.
Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference?
My website has a special page called "Local Folks We Recommend" with links to all area attractions.
How many rooms does your inn have?
We have 4 rooms and 1 private cottage.
Do you accept pets?
Yes, I accept pets (dogs, birds, fish - no cats). They are permitted in certain rooms. Other rooms are saved for my guests who have allergies (just like me). That's why my place is so clean. There is also a boarding kennel directly across the street from my Inn.
Climb into a large basket and lift-off from our backyard for a thrilling hot-air balloon flight. Our property backs up to the spectacular Quechee Gorge. Just imagine the beauty of the Gorge as you soar overhead and then dip down into its flowing waters. This is one of those "once in a lifetime must do's"!
Relieve stress and treat yourself to a soothing and relaxing massage, performed in the comfort and privacy of your room or suite. We have two licensed massage therapists on call and double massages are also available. Be sure to phone ahead for reservations. Go ahead - treat yourself - you deserve it!
Bring Along Your Furry Companion
We hate to leave our dogs behind when we travel and we're sure you feel the same about your pet. Dogs love to romp around our spacious backyard and often take a dip in the cooling waters of the pond.
We Are Family
