    More than a bed and breakfast, the historic Inn at Weathersfield is a classic country inn. With twelve guest rooms, private baths, fireplaces and modern amenities this 1792 structure still maintains a rustic charm. The Inn is an acclaimed dining destination for travelers throughout New England with an award winning chef and wine list.

    The Inn is known for its focus on sustainablility, green practices and 'Farm to Table' cuisine. While at The Inn you will have the opportunity to sample some of the finest local meats, produce and cheeses, most of which are procured within 20 miles of the inn. The Inn has been named to the Governor's List of Green Hotels and has sigfiicantly reduced it's carbon footprint through energy efficient renovations over the last 8 years.

    Located in southeastern Vermont in Perkinsville, the Inn is convenient to Okemo Mountain, Woodstock, Ludlow, Chester, Springfield and Windsor. Whether you are seeking a romantic getaway, a gourmet weekend, a perfect venue for an intimate Vermont wedding or even an executive business retreat, The Inn at Weathersfield welcomes you. All our rooms have private baths, telephones, Cable TV, luxurious linens, featherbeds, plush robes and slippers. Rates are double occupancy (2 adults) and include full hot breakfast and afternoon refreshments.

    What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

    "It feels like we stayed at a relative's home. Cozy in a good way, not doilies, authentic. And the best part is the relative is having an affair with a gourmet chef."

    What’s the best kept secret about the area?

    Our inn and the fact our restaurants aren't formal. We're a jeans and turtleneck kind of place.

    If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

    Take our GPS Farm tour and visit some of our farm partners and see their productions up close. Take one of our cooking classes.

    Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

    You're sitting on nearly 21 acres so you do a lot of walking before you leave the property.

    What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?

    Ours.. Hands down.. No questions.

    Do you accept pets?

    No, we don't accept pets. However, there is a beautiful kennel less than 2 miles from us, Willow Farm in Springfield, VT

Our Service is professional and polished-but not fussy. The informed, knowledgeable waitstaff will help link your dining experience from farm to table.

     Restaurant Verterra:

    The 'Restaurant Verterra' offers our full A la Carte Menu as well as Chef's Grazing Menu. The Restaurant has a warm, romantic setting with little more of a 'formal' feel (without dress code) than our Tavern.

    Lucy's Tavern

     For a 'casual' dinner, Lucy's Tavern is the choice. Burgers, roast chicken and hearty soups top the menu - and our black board features everything from locally raised meats to New England oysters on the half shell.

    Private Dining at 'The Chef's Table' in The Wine Cellar  

    This is a private and special space where your party will be pampered by our chef and professional waitstaff. For parties of 6 to 12 people, our Executive Chef Jason Tostrup will create a custom tasting menu from 5-10 courses for your party. To enhance your meal, we will be happy to suggest wine pairings.

    The 'inn experience' is not complete without a real Vermont breakfast! A hot breakfast is served to you every morning in the sun room. Start the day with a freshly baked treat, coffee or tea and a selection of juices. Then select one of our morning entrees - always made to order. Early bird coffee and tea are always available!

    The Inn is located just 9 miles off US 91 on scenic Route 106. By car, we are about 4 hours from New York and 2.5 hours from Boston. 1342 Route 106, Perkinsville Vermont 05151

    General Directions

    From New York: 

    1. Take I-95 North to I-91
    2. Travel north to exit #7 in Vermont-about 150 miles
    3. Take Route 11 west through Springfield
    4. Follow signs for 106 north about 5 miles to the Inn (on the left)

    From Boston: 

    1. Take I-93 north to I-89 to I-91 South
    2. Take 91 south to exit 8 (Ascutney) VT-131
    3. Go right on 131 and continue about 6 miles to Rt 106
    4. Turn left (south) on 106. The inn is about 3 miles south on the right side

    By Private Plane: 

    The Hartness Airport is 2 miles away. We would be happy to arrange transportation from the airport for guests.
