The Rabbit Hill Inn sits peacefully upon 15 acres of unspoiled countryside in the time-forgotten village of Lower Waterford, located in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. A stroll past the white steeple church takes you to the Connecticut River and a glance south captures the majestic views of the White Mountains.
When the snow falls, ski the mountains of Cannon, Burke or Bretton Woods. Enjoy snowshoeing, cross country skiing, ice skating, snowmobiling and horse-drawn sleigh rides. Warmer weather invites you to enjoy hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, and golfing at three notable courses. Of course, in-room massage is the perfect way to relax after any activity!
Our common areas offer you a variety of beautiful, charming places to feel "at home." From covered porches with serene mountain view to spacious sitting rooms with soft music, candlelight, and blazing fireplaces - comfort and relaxation comes easily here.
You will discover a wonderful libray of books and games - especially our extensive collection of STAVE puzzles! (known as the "Rolls Royce" of puzzles). Be warned, these hand-crafted, mind-boggling treasures are quite addictive!
In the mood for a movie? We have a couple of 15" LCD DVD/TVs available on a first come, first served basis. Choose from our movie collection or bring your own to enjoy. Join the fun in the Snooty Fox Pub, offering an array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks along with good cheer and conversation.
Rabbit Hill sits on 15 acres of lush countryside. Wander through the gardens and over to the spring-fed pond. Relax in the gazebo and listen to the waterfall. Our trail map will guide you through a beautiful hiking adventure or 8 kilometers of cross-country skiing in the winter.

We proudly offer a fine Vermont country inn dining experience as grand and memorable as the Northern Vermont landscape itself. Enjoy award-winning, creative and exciting cuisine in an intimate, romantic setting - elegant, yet comfortable and unpretentious.
Your day starts with a full candlelit breakfast beginning with a bountiful buffet of fresh baked treats, our famous homemade granola, fruit, yogurts and juices. And yet there's more... your choice of two hot entrees such as apple cheddar crepes in a caramel sauce served with a spinach-orange-pecan salad or a cheddar and roasted red pepper egg Napoleon drizzled with sundried tomato anglaise served with a rosemary potato galette.
Afternoon Tea
A perfect cup of tea and delicate pastries await you in the Federal Parlor each afternoon from 2:00 - 5:30. In the warmer months, you will also find pitchers of lemonade on the front porch.Evening Dining
Celebrate your evenings with unforgettable epicurean pleasures and splendid libations. Relax by candlelight as we pamper your spirit and your palette. Our chef and his staff proudly present a new, innovative seasonal dinner menu featuring eclectic interpretations on local ingredients.To assure availability, dinner reservations are required and recommended at the same time room reservations are made as seating is limited. We usually are unable to accommodate reservations made after 3pm. Rabbit Hill offers a full bar and a carefully selected wine list to complement our exquisite menu. Dress for dinner is "dressy casual". Though a jacket and tie are not required, ultra- casual attire such as shorts and tee-shirts are not appropriate for dinner. The dining room is closed Wednesday evenings except during peak season.

Pets Welcome
Read More- With prior approval, the inn may allow one small, well-behaved dog not exceeding 25 lbs.
- There is a $25/night fee to cover additional housekeeping efforts.
- Only Carriage Corner in the carriage house is suitable for guests traveling with a pet.
- At check-in, guests will be asked to sign a responsibility agreement authorizing payment for any excessive cleaning or damage caused by their pet even if discovered after check-out.
- We ask that you keep pets off furniture and bedding and that the dog sleep on the floor or in their travel kennel.
- Pets must be under the owners control at all times and are not allowed in any common rooms or dining rooms.
- Nor may pets be left unattended for any lengthy period of time unless crated during guests' breakfast and/or dinner.
- When enjoying the grounds and trails, guests are expected to clean up after their leashed pet and properly dispose of doggy bags in the trash receptacle located in the parking lot.
- There may be certain periods, weekends, holidays, or special events for which pets will not be allowed so be certain to check availability in advance.
- Kennel services are available six minutes from the inn for cats and larger dogs.
