Get out and do some hiking, biking, and exploring in the Green Mountain National Forest. Play a nearby round of golf on Vermont’s #1 rated public golf course. Go antiquing or sightseeing. And, of course, hit the slopes for an unforgettable day of skiing and riding. There’s nothing like a warm fire, a Vermont micro-brew or glass of fine wine, and a fabulous Vermont farm-to-table dinner with a set of sore muscles. Run a group tab at the Bar while you hash out the day. How did you get separated on that run? That was some wipe out! When did neon green and purple exactly start making a comeback in clothing styles?

    Family Reunions

Set a date for your friends and family reunion; that's about it. We can plan the rest. Whether it's skiing, golf, hiking or biking at or near Killington and Pico Ski and Golf Resort--or foliage, antiquing, spa treatments, or exploring Vermont, we'll help with tickets and planning.

You'll be amazed by our chef and all that he can do for you. Red Clover Inn is a culinary destination "stopping place", and our chef can prepare a tasting dinner or wine dinner to your taste.

The historic farmhouse inn on its own small private road was built in the 1840s as a "gentleman's small country estate" and completely renovated in 2009 when purchased by the Tyler and Hill families as a "little sister" property of The Tyler Place Family Resort. Red Clover Inn and Restaurant is open year-round so family reunions and groups may take advantage of winter skiing vacations, Vermont fall foliage weekends, and summer vacations that highlight the area's three golf courses and spectacular biking and hiking in the Green Mountain National Forest, the Long Trail and Appalachian Trail.

Small family reunions can take over the entire Carriage House or the Inn...or for larger groups the entire property can be your personal Vermont family reunion enclave.

The Inn and Carriage House accommodations, plus the farmhouse, can care for groups up to around 30 to 40.

  • Area Attractions

The Red Clover Inn & Restaurant mountains

Located right in the Green Mountain National Forest, The Red Clover Inn has great access to all of the Killington area’s offerings. Depending on the season, (or despite the season!) you will find many interesting things to do and experience right out our door.

The Red Clover Inn & Restaurant snow

Skiing & Riding highlight the wintertime fun with big Killington and cozy Pico being a short drive away. There are also snowmobile tours, skating, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, sledding, dog sledding, horse-drawn sleigh rides, ice fishing, kite skiing, ice climbing and windshield scraping to name the most common. The winter snow, when falling itself, has a calm hush to it that seems to quiet out the noise and distractions of modern life…ahhh. For those looking for an indoor activity, there is an indoor pool available and workout facility at nearby Pico.

The Red Clover Inn & Restaurant bikers

Spring has its own, unique cache of opportunities. Again skiing and riding are in their last stages, but the snow-made base lingers for those who swap scarves and goggles for sunscreen and sunglasses. Corn snow makes for great mogul skiing (and softer terrain-park landings!) and the parking lots are full of tail-gaiters grilling and soaking in the late-season sun. Pond skimming contests and spring carnivals are under way and some are already hitting the driving ranges. Spring also ushers in the annual maple sugar harvest…. Pancakes anyone?

Summer in the mountains is perhaps the most overlooked season in Vermont. Right next door at the Pico adventure center there are horseback trail rides, an alpine slide, and climbing wall. Try taking a canoe or kayak out on Kent Pond or take a refreshing dip in one of the cool swimming holes. Mountain bike local trails or on the ski trails via the Killington K-1 gondola. Cruise around our scenic routes on a road bike or check out the pro cyclists at the Killington Stage Race. Catch the 4th of July fireworks & parade. Tube the White River.

The Red Clover Inn & Restaurant rocks

In the fall there’s plenty to do, but the best part is the scenic backdrop of color that surrounds the area. The colors don’t just come out on the peak Columbus Day weekend. There are wonderful stages of hues that start up high in the mountains and continue down through the valley throughout the season. At the beginning, warm days linger from the summer and hiking and golf are still a great bet. Fall is the harvest season with great apple picking. Go leaf peeping and check out a covered bridge or two. There is also the hay festival, a brew fest, and motorcycle-touring rally to experience.

The Red Clover Inn & Restaurant forest

Certain things in the Red Clover environs are enjoyed regardless of season. There are luxury day spas, and plenty of shopping and dining options.(But certainly there is no reason to leave The Red Clover and our chef’s tasty creations!)
