    The Moon Shine Inn - Brownsville, Vermont

    The Moon Shine Inn offers first class accommodations with spectacular views of Mt. Ascutney from all rooms! The house has cathedral ceilings and decks that surround the house for sunrises in the mornings overlooking an apple orchard. In the evening the sun sets over the mountain. A gas fireplace in the living room brings a cozy end to the day.

    You may want to stay a night or for an entire week at The Moon Shine Inn. Our goal is to learn your individual tastes and desires and provide you with the opportunity to relax and enjoy your vacation to the fullest.

    The Moon Shine Inn, kitchenGuests have full access to the use of the kitchen including gas range and dishwasher, as well as the washer/dryer and the TV/VCR, and CD player in the living room. Breakfast is optional. We also have Chef Services optional for lunch and dinner as available.

    Vermont offers some of the best ski & riding terrain in New England. Killington's Skyeship Gondola is only a 30-minute drive, and Okemo Mountain is even closer, at about 20 minutes. Cross-country skiing is nearby at Wilderness Trails in Quechee and Woodstock Ski Touring Center, both within 20 to 30 minutes from The Moon Shine Inn.The Moon Shine Inn, living room with view

    For shoppers, Quechee and Woodstock have a variety of shops to find unique gifts. West Lebanon, New Hampshire, is only 20-minutes away and has all the essentials you may need.

    With great views of Mt. Ascutney and comfortable amenities, our rooms are a perfect romantic getaway.

    Relaxation and Activity all together!

    What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?

    We are known for being Rural Quiet and Private, with the best of all worlds around; skiing, snowboarding with Dartmouth College nearby, cultural events, art and antiques.

    If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

    Events for Weddings, Dartmouth College Events, Ski/Snowboarding.

    What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

    If we told you it won't be a secret!

    If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

    Our guests come for many reasons, relax, play, run, don't run, ski/snowboard, ride horses, whatever they enjoy!

    Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

    Our nearest local store is the Brownsville General Store, less than 1/4 mile. They have most of everything you will need, plus serve an awesome breakfast or lunch!

    What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?

    Local food and restaurants are nearby: The Skunk Hollow Tavern, Keepers' Cafe, among the further closer to Darmouth College.

    How many rooms does your inn have?

    Our Vacation Rental has 2 bedrooms, each with private baths. The living space has a full kitchen with sitting area, and full living room with satellite TV.

    Do you accept pets?

    We do not currently accept pets, however willing to talk about them and to see if we can work it out.
