Room #5 “Bella & Guapo Guestroom”

2nd floor guestroom. In the old farm house, this twin bedded respite was one of the original bedrooms on the upstairs. Today, it is named after our beloved pets Bella & Guapo. Bella is a gorgeous and extremely well behaved 6 year old APBT who loves attention. Guapo, also an APBT, was the epitome of a loyal working dog: smart , high energy and obedient. He had to be put down however on May 2010 due to bone cancer. He was only 4 years old. It is one of the hardest things we've had to do. Both of them came to us when they were just months of age and we support the rescue shelter that brought them to our lives: Out of the Pits. Please keep in mind that although we love animals, we have a NO PETS POLICY at the Inn in consideration of guests that may have allergies or otherwise do not feel comfortable with pets.

Our dogs have always been exclusively in our private part of the Inn and meet guests only when requested. 10% of the revenue of this room is donated to Out of the Pits in Albany, NY so they can continue their hard work educating the public and helping this misunderstood breed. Originally part of the old master bedroom in the old farm house, this charming and secluded elegant room honors the Town of Bennington, Vermont which was chartered on January 3 - 1749 by Colonial Governor Benning Wentworth. Rates & General Information

• Queen Guest Rooms: $125 - $185 per room per night double occupancy.
• King Guest Rooms: $155 - $215 per room per night double occupancy.
• Corporate / Business / Government or Solo travelers: $85 - $125 per room per night single occupancy.
• At the time of reservation a valid credit card and contact information is required in order to confirm your booking.
• Cancellation policy: due to our small size, cancellations affect us greatly. One night stays require full payment at the time of reservation. Stays of two nights or more require a deposit of one night or 10% of the total value. Whichever is greater. Full refund minus a $25 Administrative Fee if cancellation is made before 10 days prior to arrival. For group reservations or Special Event bookings full refund minus a $25 Administrative Fee per room if cancellations are made before 30 days prior to arrival. Full Charge if cancellation is made within 10 days of arrival (30 days for groups and/or Special Events). Option to re-schedule is available. However, full payment is required. Sorry, but there are no exceptions. Thank you for your understanding. If your travel is business related we reserve the right to not enforce this policy.
• Check in time: Any time after 3:00 p.m.
• Check out time: Before 12:00 p.m.
• Breakfast is served from: 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Coffee and hot water for tea are available as early as 7:00 a.m.
• Afternoon tea: hot water for tea or lemonade (according to the season) and freshly baked cookies or a cake will be available in the breakfast room between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
• Dinner at the Bistro: the Bistro serves a four-course gourmet candle lit dinner by reservation only. Dinner is offered exclusively to the Inn's guests and their friends. Although we have twelve rooms at the Inn, we can only cater dinner service to a maximum of four rooms on any given night. The menu changes daily and it is a one choice, price-fix affair. Locally sourced (when available) ingredients for the menu are delivered in the morning and prepared during the afternoon. We portion only what we need for the day, for this very reason reservations must be made at least one day prior to dinner service. Special dietary needs and/or requests will be kindly considered with sufficient time in advance.
• We will be happy to arrange different times from the above to suit your traveling needs as long as it does not interfere with the daily operation of the B&B.
• 2 nights minimum stay required on weekends during Holiday/Special event dates and Fall Foliage Season.
• We are a Smoke Free property.
• We love animals but are unable to accommodate pets at the Inn.
• VT Room and Board Tax is 9%.
• Season Specials and Romantic Packages are available.
• Although we welcome everybody, unfortunately the Inn is not well suited for children under the age of 12.
• Any special arrangements or needs can be discussed at the time of reservation.
