My wife and I had an unexpected weekend without children and decided on a quiet trip to Vermont. I came across Halladay's Harvest Barn Inn via an internet search. We chose the Orchard Suite for it's spaciousness and were not disappointed. Heather and Dan were fo kind and friendly - they made us feel very welcomed. The home made waffles with fresh fruit and maple cinnamon whipped cream were excellent for our Sunday breakfast. We have decided to make this an annual destination and look forward to spending time at Halladay's Harvet Barn Inn next year!
Thank you Heather and Dan! Kathe & Sue
We've been buying Halliday's products for years and when we saw they had a bed and breakfast we knew it would be great. We chose the Orchard suite and it was lovely. There is such a quaint homey feeling about the inn. It's, like staying at your grandmother's house but hosted by a very caring and gracious couple, Heather and Dan. Halliday's is a lovely refurbished colonial wafting of the smell of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. The breakfasts were heavenly and the coffee delicious. We so enjoyed just sitting on the front porch in the rocking and Adirorndack chairs reading with a lovely view of the Connecticut river ahead. The innkeepers pointed us toward some wonderful places to eat. The food was unbelievable esp at Leslie's. If you plan to visit the Bellows Falls area, this is definitely the place to stay.
Our hosts, Dan and Heather, were very obliging and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The homemade chocolate cookies were a wonderful welcome at the end of a very long day. The room was perfect, the bed comfortable, the bathroom private and well-appointed. Breakfast was wonderful and the Connecticut river view was a spectacular addition to our stay. Loved the beautiful flower bed in front of the house. I could have stayed forever. Thank you to Dan, Heather and Joyce for your gracious hospitality. Your place seemed almost like it belonged to me. Hope to come back for another visit.
Me and my bridesmaids stayed here the night before my wedding, what a fabulous time. I awoke and went to have a quiet tea on the porch before the craziness began and then me and my girls had an incredible breakfast (complete with gluten free meals for two of them) followed by a perfect atmosphere for getting ready and relaxing before my big day.
The night of our wedding my Husband and I returned to an amzing room, complete with flower petals and candles. :-) We again awoke to have an incredible breakfast as husband and wife. What a perfect way to start and end our wedding!
I would love love love to return again!!!!!!!
Stayed July 2012, traveled as a couple
