Phyllis & Eddie
Travelers are always looking for memorable and relaxing experiences. Let’s discover more through the words of our innkeepers. Many thanks to Phyllis & Ed Greenmun for sharing their own secrets with BBOnline.com! Why do most travelers stay at your inn?
Mostly for Romantic Get A Ways (honeymoons & anniversaries), but also to bring their horse for trail riding or just to enjoy nature (get away from the city). At Christmas time people come cut their own tree.
What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?
Spectacular views!, We deliver breakfast to their door! I love that we are immersed in nature with all kinds of animals to see and hear (deer, elk, marmots, badgers, prairie dogs. all kinds of birds but especially hummingbirds in the summer and Bald Eagles in the winter. I enjoy seeing the guests admire the views and watching the hummingbirds land on their fingers.
If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?
Spring City is a Pioneer Heritage area so people come to see the architecture and also to purchase art. We have 2 tours - Memorial Day is a tour of the pioneer homes and Labor Day has a tour of the artist studios & a plein air competition. See springcityarts.com.
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?
"I feel like family" - that is about the atmosphere not the inn -
"I love the huge jetted tub" is a common compliment
What’s the best kept secret about the area?
The hiking and horse riding trails just 1 1 /2 miles up the road from us. The Manti La Sal National Forest is not advertised as it is not staffed . It is mostly known by the locals.
If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?
Snow College has plays & activities, but the best thing are the walking tours of the 4 nearby towns, the Manti Temple, and Palisaide Golf Course.
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?
Yes, hiking trails and our Canal Canyon road is a favorite runners/joggers/sledding spot for locals.
