Cooking School at Blair House Inn is a hands-on experience where learning technique is paramount. Our Goal for this Cooking School Vacation Camp is to build your confidence in the kitchen by teaching principles and techniques from how to purchase and store the freshest seasonal foods, to preparation and presentation. Once you understand the principles and chemistry of what you are doing, you are ready to be creative in your own right. You’ll go home with a manual filled with information on principles and techniques, many recipes and ideas to help stimulate your creativity in the kitchen. We have lots of fun and tap into everyone’s creative energy. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes (athletic shoes), casual clothes, and bring your appetite!

Blair House offers a variety of picnic baskets to our guests that can be enjoyed in your room, under a shade tree on our grounds, at a scenic overlook or by the river.

Each basket is prepared in house by our chef, and should be ordered at least 48 hours in advance.

Book a three-night weekend (which includes a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night stay) and receive a 15% discount on your lodging rate for Sunday night. Holiday weekends are not included.
