Welcome to the Texas Star Bed & Breakfast, located just five minutes from Temple; ten minutes from Belton; and fifteen from Salado.
Get a little taste of the country and relax in a Texas Heritage cottage. The cottage is located on ten beautiful acres. It has a private bedroom and a living, dining, and kitchen combination decorated in chic western. The front porch wraps around two sides of the cottage.
Escape the pressures of everyday life and relax in the privacy of our welcoming atmosphere. Our cottage is equipped with a full kitchen, flat screen television with satellite, wi-fi, queen-sized bed, and a queen-sized sofa sleeper in the living room.
Enjoy the welcoming goody basket and complimentary beverages in the refrigerator. A private gourmet breakfast is delivered to your room at check-in for a leisurely breakfast the next morning.

Our cottage is very relaxing as it is set on ten acres with beautiful views.
What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?
Many guests come back because they love the spaciousness of the cottage as well as it’s convenience to Temple, Killeen, and Salado.
If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?
The Temple Belton areas have many different activities throughout the year, beautiful lakes, great shopping, and restaurants.
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?
A newly wed couple wrote in the guest book that they loved the private setting and the wonderful breakfast.
What’s the best kept secret about the area?
The best kept secret of our area is Lake Belton, a beautiful lake with great fishing.
If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?
The guest should shop in Salado, walk the shores of Lake Belton, have lunch at the Gin in Belton, go to Veranda Bloom in Rogers, and go to the Imax in Temple. They could also hike or bike in the area around the cottage, called Taylor’s Valley. I have two bikes available.
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?
There are no commercial area within walking distance only beautiful walking trails.
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?
There are many good restaurants in our area: Cheeves, BJ’s, Cotton Patch, Chili’s, Pignetti’ (Italian), the Gin, and Longhorn Steakhouse.
Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference?
The best websites would be the Temple, Belton, and Salado chamber of commerces.
How many rooms does your inn have?
I have only one cottage with a full kitchen, dining, living room with leather couch, separate bedroom, and porch with large rockers.
Do you accept pets?
I will accept one pet with a deposit and small nightly fee.

Don’t forget to do a little shopping while you’re in town. Stop by one of our many trendy boutiques, art gallery or our outdoor mall, and you won’t leave empty-handed. Stay for a weekend, a week or even longer. Then come back to visit Temple again and again.
