Located in the famous King William Historic District, the Inn was built circa 1905 and is tastefully furnished with antiques and family heirlooms. Whether enjoying a stroll along the Riverwalk, which is just two blocks away, or soaking in one of the antique claw foot tubs, a stay at the Gardenia Inn will rejuvenate you in both body and spirit.

    In addition to the large variety of restaurants and bars along the nearby Riverwalk, many excellent restaurants are located in the neighborhood surrounding the Gardenia Inn. Some of the quality restaurants within a three block walk are: Madhatters, FEAST, Tito's, Rosario's, Azuca and La Focaccia.

    Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

    The simple elegance. The inn is tastefully decorated, and elegant with modern conveniences like 32 inch HD digital cable, Apple TV, complimentary Netflix. We are two blocks from the Riverwalk in a beautiful historic neighborhood.

    The southern hospitality and great food we learned from the family matriarch, Eva.

    The guests and the staff. We have a comfortable friendly environment.

    Our neighborhood, Southtown, has the best food in in San Antonio. It is a foodie’s mecca.

    If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

    Day 1: See the Alamo and our 4 other beautiful historic missions
    Day 2: a day at Hemisfair Park (Institute of Texan Cultures and the Tower of Americas) and the Riverwalk
    Day 3: A trolley or double decker bus tour (get a two day pass so on Day 4 youcan go back to the sights you missed).
    Day 4: The Pearl Brewery (houses the only Culinary Institute of America featuring a Latin cuisine), San Antonio Art Museum and the Witte Museum of Art.

    Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

    The Alamo, Hemisfair Park, the Riverwalk, the Convention Center and the best restaurants in the city.

    We don't accept pets. There are several close pet boarding places.

    When staying at the Gardenia Inn Bed and Breakfast, you will wake up every morning to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. A light and healthy start of juice and fruit is rounded out by a different hot entrée daily such as:

    Although our specialties may sound and taste decadent, we have adjusted the recipes to be low-fat and heart healthy. Coffee and tea are available in the dining room beginning at 7:30 daily. Breakfast is served between 8:30am and 9:30am daily.

    In the Evening, Indulge in our private label organic tea-infused chocolate truffles.  They'll be sure to make you fall in love at first bite!

    Complimentary bottled waters and sodas are also available.  The above refreshments are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
