Guest Rooms & Rates
Each of the 14 suites, guest rooms, and cottage has a charm of its own and is
individually decorated to suit the feeling of the room.In our main building, our rooms will have sturdy antiques, tall windows, king or queen sized bed, a private bath, clock radio, iron and ironing board and cable color television. All our rooms are comfortable and inviting and offer soft sheets and thick luxurious Turkish towels. Central heat and air and ceiling fans are in each room.
Summerhouse Room
The Summerhouse Room is our largest upstairs room. It has a king-size bed, a table, and two comfortable arm chairs. There is a full private bath with an antique freestanding bathtub and shower as well. This room also has cable TV and an iron/ironing board. A roll-away bed is available on request. $135 per night plus tax for single or double occupancy; additional guests are at extra charge. Max occupancy: Two (three w/roll-away bed)Rose Room
This room is named for the beautiful roses that adorn the walls. The Rose Room is located on the second floor on the courtyard side of the building. This elegant room features a nice queen-size bed, cable TV, iron/ironing board and a full private bath with an antique, freestanding bathtub and shower. In addition, the Rose Room connects to the Library Room.
Carriage Haus
This private, newly-renovated suite blends modern amenities with a touch of rustic charm. it features a king-sized bed with sleep number mattress; jacuzzi tub; kitchenette with sink microwave, and refrigerator; widescreen LCD television; two private entrances; and full-sized sleeper sofa (a roll-away bed is also available, if needed). It is ideal for couples, families and groups that want to enjoy the mystique of staying in a historic inn, while still having all the comfort and privacy of home. Max occupancy: Four (five with roll-away bed).
Library Room
This room invites you to snuggle up with a good book! The theme in this room is one of classical appeal. The Library Room is located on the second floor on the courtyard side of the building. It has a king size bed, cable TV, iron/ironing board and features a full private bath with tub/shower.� In addition, the Library Room connects to the Rose Room. $125 per night plus tax (double occupancy)
Magnolia Room
The Magnolia is the signature flower of the Old South, and this room has all the charm and gentility reminiscent of those days long past. This room is located on the second floor on the courtyard side of the building. The queen-sized bed adds to the softness of this alluring, green room, which also comes with cable TV, an iron/ironing board and a full private bath with tub/shower.
Huntsman Room
This room has elegant maroon and gold wallpaper that adorn its walls. The Huntsman Room is located on the second floor near the front balcony. The king-size bed adds to a feeling of power and luxury. This room also boasts its own private bath with a shower. The room also has cable TV and an iron and ironing board. $125 per night plus tax (double occupancy)
Penelope Room
This room has an innocent feel to it, with soft blue hues and delicate curtains. The Penelope Room is located on the second floor near the front balcony. Craftsmen in Austria originally constructed the antique king-size bed. This room also comes with a private bath and shower, cable TV and iron/ironing board.
Peony Room
This bedroom has a feminine quality to it, with floral designs on the walls and soft pink touches throughout. The Peony Room is located on the second floor on the street side. The comfortable queen-size bed is inviting, as is the room's full private bath with tub/shower. Its also has cable TV and iron/ironing board. In addition, the Peony Room connects to the Summerhouse Room.
Songbird Room
The graceful decor and sitting area in this room bring to mind the feeling of spring. The Songbird Room is located on the second floor on the street side. Come relax on the king-size bed, and take advantage of the private full bath with tub/shower. This room also includes cable TV and an iron/ironing board.
Chisholm Room
This room is named for Jessie Chisholm of Chisholm Trail fame. Jessie Chisholm and many other trail drivers passed in front of the Prince Solms Inn as they moved their herds up north. Back then, the street in front of the Feed Store was part of the Old Chisholm Trail and is now San Antonio St. The Chisholm room is located, next to the main building, in the adjacent building called the Feed Store. This room recalls the Old West with hardwood floors and rustic decorations. It has a private bath with shower, king size bed made in Mexico and one double bed in the crawling loft (four feet tall) for small children.
This room also has cable TV, telephone, a small refrigerator, coffee maker and iron/ironing board.
Texas Room
The Texas Room is named for all its rustic, Soutwest-stye red, white and blue decor, including the Texas flag! It is located in a building adjacent to the Main Inn, called the "Feed Store" and has ll the comforts of home. with its rustic furniture, hardwood floors, and Cowboy-style decorations, it recalls the Old West. It has a queen size bed and a futon sleeper sofa (also roughly queen-sized), cable TV, and a full private bath with freestanding claw foot tub/shower. In addition, this room has a fully furnished kitchen complete with washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, plenty of dishes, coffee maker and microwave. A roll-away bed i available on request. Hays Room
The Hays Room is most accommodating for larger families. This room is named for Jack Coffee Hays; the Texas Ranger Commander chosen by Prince Carl of Solms Braunfels Germany to lead the wagons and 700 immigrants from the Gulf Coast up the Guadalupe River to what is now New Braunfels. The Hays Room is located, next to the main building, in the adjacent building called the Feed Store. The room has a queen size bed, full private bath with tub/shower, cable TV, telephone, coffee maker and small refrigerator. This room also has a small crawling loft (four feet tall) with two double beds for the children. Starts at $150 per night plus tax (double occupancy)
Joseph Klein Haus
The Joseph Klein Haus, built in 1852, sits just behind the main building, and was the first dwelling built on the property. It isa fullly self-contained cottage that can be rented by the day, week, or month; and is ideal for families and honeymooners. It features rustic/country decor, a bedroom with a king size bed, a separate living room with a daybed and trundle bed( a roll-away bed is also available, if needed), a full bath with an antique claw foot tub/shower and a fully furnished kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, and coffee maker. It has a front porch with a swing and wicker furniture for sitting out on warm evenings, and an enclosed back patio with table and chairs and a bar-b-que grill.
Sophie's Suite
This majestic suite is named for the prince's beautiful German fiance, Sophie. This room has been a favorite with many guests, and has also acquired a reputation that precedes it. Although the owners have never encountered anything out of the ordinary, many of our guests have claimed that a mysterious female apparition haunts Sophie's Suite. We welcome you to come and stay here, and perhaps see something for yourself. Sophie's Suite is located on our first floor near the front doors. Just below the suite, in our cellar, is the Uptown Piano Bar. This suite is our most requested suite due to its location above the bar. You can relax in your sitting room and hear the live music below your feet. Many guests love to hear the music come through the floors and dance the night away in the privacy of their own room. This suite includes a king size bed in the bedroom, full private bath with tub/shower, living room, cable TV, iron/ironing board and a small area with a refrigerator, microwave, and sink.
Policies- Minimum Night Stay: There is a two-night minimum stay on weekends during the months of May through September. All holidays, special events, and Wurstfest are a two-night minimum stay.
- Cancellation Policy: Our cancellation policy is seven (7) days prior to arrival. If you should cancel your reservation within 7 days or less of your scheduled arrival date, your credit card will be charged for the full amount of your stay. If we are able to rebook your reservation, we will issue you a gift certificate, redeemable for a future stay with us - for the same number of days and type of room you reserved. Also, all cancellations will be charged a $25 cancellation/processing fee. There are no refunds for early departures.
- Check-In: Guest may check in between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Special arrangements must be made in advance for late or early arrival.
- Check-Out: 11:00 a.m.
- Smoking: For the safety and comfort of our guests, smoking is not allowed inside the Inn. We do hope that you will enjoy smoking on the front porch or the grounds of the Inn.
- Children: We love small children but our Inn's main building was developed for the adult couple and adults traveling with children over the age of 14 who want a pleasant retreat. We will gladly accept reservations for guests traveling with children under the age of 14 in our Feed Store rooms and the Klein Haus. Special arrangements can be made for weddings, family reunions, and corporate retreats.
- Pets: Animals are special to us but accommodations for pets are not available at the Inn.
