Martha's Cottage
King Four-Poster Bed, 1 King Bed, Full/Double Bed, Jacuzzi Tub, Stand-Up Shower, Kitchenette, Dining Area - $290
In January and February of 2002, while taking apart the Jimmie Sevcik farm at IH 35 and FM 306, it was discovered that the existing house was built around a 3 room Fachtwerk German Style house with hand cut Cedar logs and hand made adobe bricks. Care was taken to remove the logs for reconstruction next to the original "Accents of Gruene" home at 1671 FM 306.
The original log house was probably constructed in the late 1800's and then remodeled in the 1950's when the log and brick was covered up with plaster, wood paneling, and draped commercial ceiling. The log house had two brick chimneys one at each end in order to serve both the kitchen area and the living area.
Martha's Cottage was built in March of 2002 using the logs and lumber from the original house. Hand made sand bricks from Mexico where used in place of the original bricks as they had crumbled.
Accents of Gruene is proud to present Martha's Cottage as a continuation of our ancestors heritage. Hopefully it will endure until through the next millennium. The following two rooms are located in the cottage:
The Bay Laurel Room - $160

There is a spacious breezway between the two units in the cottage. It contains a dining area, full refrigerator, and microwave. The picnic area in back has a barbecue pit and table for family gatherings.

The Garden Room
Queen Bed, Dresser, Private Bath
The Garden Room is decorated with a "Garden Theme" and overlooks the beautiful flower garden through the antique stained glass windows. Curl up with a good book in the overstuffed vintage chair.
The Country Charms Room
King Bed, Antique Dresser, Private Bath
The Country Charms Room features a vintage look with a comfortable sitting area where one might relax after a fun filled day.
Attic Memories Room
Queen Bed, Antique Dresser, Private Bath
Attic Memories Room with the ambience of grandmothers antiques and heirlooms and a private bath, this comfortably furnished room has a full size pillow top iron bed, antique dresser, and large vintage rockers where one might find peaceful relaxation.

- All rates are double occupancy and do not include 10% hospitality tax.
- All rooms are non-smoking. (Smoking is permitted outside only)
- Check-In after 2 p.m. or by special request.
- Check-Out by 11 a.m.
- Breakfast is served at 8:30 a.m.
- Rates are subject to change without notice..
- CANCELLATIONS: A deposit is required to confirm reservations and may be made by check or credit card. The amount is equivalent to 1 nights stay or 50% of the total amount for multiple days and must be received at least 14 days prior to the arrival date (if paying by check). A cancellation fee equivalent to 1 nights rent will be charged if the reservation is cancelled within 14 days of arrival date and cannot be rebooked.
