    Tartan Thistle Bed & Breakfast occupies the L. A. Scott home in historic McKinney, Texas. The house is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is a Texas Historic Landmark. The original 1880's Victorian home was expanded and remodeled by Louis and Louise Scott at the turn of the century and includes ample areas for guests to relax on the wide veranda and second floor front porch. The home has been restored with modern conveniences while maintaining its authentic Neo-Classical Victorian architecture.

    Tartan Thistle Bed and Breakfast offers intimate weddings in a unique 1880's Victorian home. We have hosted over 200 weddings ranging in size and consistently rave reviews from the Bride and Groom and their guests alike. The home has been fully restored to include all modern conveniences while maintaining its original charm and splendor. We can accommodate up to 70 persons for both the wedding and reception in our Parlor and Dining Room, respectively.

    We offer a special package price of $1595, plus tax, for all six rooms and the ceremony/reception (basically rent the entire B&B for 24 hours). This package provides you with the Tower room at no charge (savings of $169) and our bountiful full cooked breakfast for twelve overnight guests.

    We can help you arrange the entire wedding by utilizing quality caterers, florists, bakers and suppliers from the McKinney area. We offer full amenities for your meeting needs and can provide separate areas, both indoors and out, for "breakout" sessions. Numerous options are available for catered meals or the team may recess to one of the fine restaurants located within walking distance at the McKinney town square.
