Eve's Garden Organic Bed & Breakfast and Ecology Resource Center - Marathon, Texas

Eve's Garden is located at the gateway to Big Bend National Park, in Marathon, Texas. Eve's Garden is a research level organic gardening demonstration site and an urban hacienda, combining to provide a comfortable Bed and Breakfast environment and a conversational forum to address issues regarding the ecology we live in.

Every effort has been made to combine elements of "art", "architecture", and "ecology" in the layout and construction of this unusually progressive piece of work. A large amount of recycled content, strawbale buildings, paper adobe/fiber cement buildings, high Mexican contemporary color treatments, and a focus on locally produced food, conspire to create an aura of thoughtfulness.

There is a fresh bouquet in each guestroom. The sit-down breakfast includes food from the garden, fresh baked goods, fruit, juice, coffee/tea, egg dishes or pancakes/waffles, and meat if desired. Vegetarians welcome!

"Flowers by Kate" can have special occasion flowers waiting in your room, or provide all the flowers for your wedding, including edible cake flowers.

Eve's Garden is located in the beautiful high mountain desert town of Marathon, Texas, about 69 miles north of Big Bend National Park. The nearest airport is Midland International Airport in Midland/Odessa, about a 2 1/2 hour drive north. There is also Amtrak service to Alpine, 30 miles west, three times a week from points east (Houston, San Antonio, New Orleans, and Florida), west (Los Angeles, Arizona, and New Mexico), and north (Dallas, St. Louis, and Chicago).
