Marathon Bed and Breakfasts
Marathon is a census-designated place in Brewster County, Texas. Every January, a 5k and 10k run is held in Marathon, stay at a local Marathon bed and breakfast to make a weekend out of the event. There are several ice skating rinks in town for family fun. Marathon has a close proximity to both the McDonald Observatory and Big Bend National Park, both of which are extremely popular attractions. Several of Marathons hotels, restaurants and businesses are housed in historic buildings - most notably the Gage Hotel - and the town has an impressive array of working artists, artisans and authors.
