The Cabin on Deer Run

The rustic Deer Run includes breakfast at the Lodge while enjoying the seclusion of your own private cabin - a cabin with a very unique history. It began when Hurricane Ike roared through the woods in 2008 and many of the trees had to be cut down. We found a man from Georgia that had a portable sawmill. He brought it to the farm and cut the trees up into the lumber that built this cabin. After furnishing with antiques, collectibles, deer hides and antlers, Deer Run was ready for guests in September of 2009.
Although Deer Run is rustic, it includes modern ammenities to make your stay more comfortable. After a hike or canoe trip, it's a real treat to shower under the stars in your own private outdoor shower or relax on the enclosed sun deck attached to the cabin. In the evening, you can sit in the front porch swing and watch for the deer that sometimes feed in the Mayhaw orchard.
Sleeps up to 4 people with a queen-size bed in the bedroom and a trundle (2 twin beds) in the living area.
Roomy living area includes a comfortable sitting room with TV and DVD player.
Snack kitchen with table and chairs, microwave, refrigerator, and toaster oven.
Private bath with shower, rustic decor, and modern plumbing.
Front porch with old fashioned porch swing.
Enclosed sun deck attached to cabin.
Air conditioning and heat.

Cabin on Blueberry Hill
Secluded in the pristine beauty of the Big Thicket area, the Historic Blueberry Hill cabin offers a unique opportunity to experience nature and history first-hand. Enjoy the cozy, rustic charm of your own private cabin with the benefits of a B&B.
Blueberry Hill History - Built in the early 1900's as a double log crib-barn, this historic cabin is one of the oldest structures on the Farm. Throughout the years it has been used to house our cows, sheep, horses, and one try at raising chickens. The chickens were penned in the area that is now the bath. What is now the "kitchen" area was once used as a smoke-house. In those days, there were no wooden floors in these sections or in the dog-run down the middle. When we noticed that some of the logs were rotting and needed to be replaced, we found a man that knew how to jack up a log structure and the renovation began... Blueberry Hill Bed & Breakfast Cabin was born.
Blueberry Hill Today - The old crib-barn has been restored and modernized to a comfortable cabin beautifully decorated with cowboy memoralbilia and antiques.
Sleeps up to 4 people with 2 bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other with 2 twin beds.
Roomy living area includes a comfortable sitting room with TV, VCR, and DVD player.
Snack kitchen with table and chairs, microwave, refrigerator, and toaster oven.
Private bath with shower, rustic decor, and modern plumbing.
Front porch with rockers, porch swing, and barbeque grill.
