You will find this bed and breakfast easily accessible by train from the airport and by taxi or private car. We are located less than 6 miles from each DFW Airport and Love Field Airport, but we have no airport traffic or noise because we are in the buffer space between the airports. Jefferson Street Bed and Breakfast is also easily accessible by major freeways.

Irving is located between Dallas, Texas and Fort Worth, Texas. We are convenient to DFW airport, Love Field airport, downtown, the convention center and public transportation. Our Conference room accommodates up to 22 people with tables, comfortable chairs & audio visual equipment.

The Jefferson Street Bed and Breakfast is located in the Historic District of Irving with many amenities nearby. Close by you can shop for antiques, get a massage, or enjoy family dining. Meeting rooms, wedding chapel, churches, music venues and city parks are available in the neighborhood. The public library, post office, dry cleaners, grocery stores and consignment shops are just a few minutes away. The $8 million indoor city pool and senior-citizens buildings are just 3 blocks away. Board the train at the station only 5 blocks away. It can take you to DFW airport, downtown Dallas, American Airlines Center (the venue for major entertainment), major hospitals, Bell Helicopter, downtown Fort Worth.

You will be two minutes from the South Irving train/transit station. The train can be your link to and from the DFW airport, downtown Dallas, downtown Fort Worth (where you can enjoy great art galleries or visit the Stockyards entertainment area), food, entertainment, Bell Helicopter manufacturing plant, hospitals and other transit stations. The train stops at the American Airlines Center when major entertainment events are happening (limited schedule on Sundays and holidays.) The train also makes connections with the AMTRAK Train. Please don't make a hotel reservation before you consider this Bed & Breakfast Inn. We clean with products that meet Green Seal's environmental standard. Super quiet individual air conditioning systems means the air in one bedroom is not exchanged with air in any other bedroom and there are no air ducts. We do not have pets nor permit pets. Smoking is not allowed on the property. Special care has been taken to reduce humidity in the suites. The suites are new, clean and fresh. Our high efficiency washer heats water for both wash and rinse cycles to improve cleaning and rinsing. Many chemical sensitive people have commented on how well they felt after staying here. The floors in the cottage are hardwood and the cottage has a central air conditioning system. No pets or smoking at the cottage.

Across the street, the charming Craftsman-style cottage was built in 1927 and completely remodeled in 2006. Everybody just loves this place! The rental includes the entire cottage: 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen, dining room, office area, washer & dryer.

Directions from airport:
The DFW airport is in the city of Irving. By auto, use the airport South exit and head east on Highway 183 toward Dallas for 3.9 miles and exit O'Connor Road. Turn right (south) on O'Connor Road and go 1.9 miles until it dead-ends into Sixth Street. Turn left onto Sixth St. and count only the streets on your left and turn left on the third street which is Jefferson Street. We are on the Northeast corner of Jefferson and Sixth Street. At the airport you can catch Bus #408 to the South Irving Transit station and walk 5 blocks south on Jefferson Street. We are also convenient to Love Field airport approximately 6 miles away.

From Love Field:
Turn right (west) on Mockingbird for 2.8 miles then turn right at Irving Blvd. Go 4 miles on Irving Blvd and turn left on Jefferson Street (at Chase Bank). Go five blocks and look for us on the left.

From the South Irving Transit Station for TRE train and buses:
Go to the clock tower and walk down Main Street 4 blocks, turn left on 4th street for 1 block then right on Jefferson for 1 block.
