We are best known for our fantastic breakfast & great hospitality.

    What makes your inn unique?

Our in is unique because of the beautifully decorated rooms and gardens.

What do you love most about your inn?

What I love most about Clara's Cabin is the privacy of the Cabin and beautiful private courtyard and the Rustic Beauty of the Cabin filled with western artwork comfortable leather furniture. What I love about Harrison House is that the two suites can open to accommodate a party of 4. And the beautifully decorated suites filled with antiques & artwork.

If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

The number one reason to visit these days is the dozens of local award winning wineries located within just a few miles of town. Downtown shopping is a close second.

What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

Best compliment would be the many times our guest tell us that they would love to take our Cabin home with them or ask us in detail how we built it ourselves and how they can copy it's design for themselves. Best compliment for Harrison House is the wonderful beds and beautiful decor.

What’s the best kept secret about the area?

Best kept secret in the area is the Wonderful local music & dancing, Enchanted Rock, and the many fantastic restaurants in Fredericksburg now.

If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

For a four night stay I would definitely recommend starting with a tour of the local wineries, then dinner at one of several great restaurants with music & dancing in the evenings. The next day if you are interested in History visit The Museum of the Pacific War it's amazing or hike Enchanted Rock if you are a nature lover the wildlife there is worth seeing. Then there is Shopping in the downtown area that's a full day by itself. There is also the wonderful Rock Box Theater in the evenings for great music & comedy. Luckenbach Texas is also a great place to listen to music and it's just down the road. There is soo much more to do if you have the time.

Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

Within walking distance to my rooms there is soo much to do. The entire downtown shopping area is only a few blocks away. Several gourmet restaurants, bakeries, pie shop, Saloons, music, Marketplatz, antique shops, wine tasting stores and so much more.

What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?

My favorite restaurant is Crossroads Saloon & Steakhouse. They have great steaks and live music in the evenings.

Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference?

There are many websites referring to Fredericksburg’s Special Event weekends. The Visitors Bureau and Special Event Guide.
