Meyer Bed and Breakfast on Cypress Creek

Julia Ellenberger House is circa 1920 two-story stucco building was operated by one of the Meyer daughters, Julia Ellenberger, as the Meyer Hotel until her death in 1956. Each of the four two-room suites is lovingly decorated and has sheltered front porches, sitting rooms, private baths with tub and shower, irons and ironing boards, and some have warm freestanding gas fireplaces. Meyer Inn offers Comfort, Texas Bed and Breakfast accommodations to all Texas Hill Country Tourism.

The Mercantile has 10 suites with a porch where you can sit and enjoy nature with a view of the courtyard or overlook the Cypress creek. Each downstairs suite features an iron bed with a pillow top mattress; the sitting area has a fireplace and TV. The bath has tub/shower, large tiled vanity, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. The 5 themed suites that face the courtyard all have 2 queen beds. The remaining romantic 5 suites have a King bed, with a view of the creek and the massive Cypress trees. Suite 601- $225

The Homestead was the original home to the Meyer family. Built in the 1860's this 1 1/2 story Limestone house is typical German construction. There is a King size bedroom, a full kitchen & living room with a large shower and Jacuzzi tub. The upstairs has 2 queen beds and a clawfoot tub in the bathroom. Great place either for a romantic couple or a family of 6 or less to be together.

The cottage was added to the complex in 1872 to accommodate Mrs. Meyer's practice as midwife for the women of the surrounding ranches. Later served as the hotel bathhouse. Today the quaint Texas Hill Country Vacation cottage provides a pair of delightfully remodeled two-room suites with rear decks, antique queen-size iron beds, freestanding gas fireplaces, sitting areas, private baths, large separate vanity areas with hair dryers, and coffee makers.

Gast Haus was built in 1887 when the railroad came to Comfort. The two story building constructed by the Meyer family and still boasts long porches upstairs and down, the original block and tackle used to hoist travelers. Trunks to the second floor where the rooms are located and a hand dug well. Suite 411 boasts a warm fireplace, iron king size pillow top bed, a day bed with a trundle and a private tub/shower in the bathroom.

There is a large private screened in porch overlooking the creek with wicker loveseat and chairs for your comfort along with a game table and chairs. Room 412 offers an iron queen bed, floor to ceiling drapes and a small bathroom that contains a shower for bathing.

Spacious suite offers a warm freestanding gas fireplace, king size iron bed, day bed with trundle, tub and shower, coffee maker, vanity area, hair dryer, and secluded screened room overlooking Cypress Creek. Upstairs.

The porch features an antique rocker as well as a table and chairs where you can visit with your friends.

This suite features central heat and air, King iron bed with a pillow top mattress, a romantic Jacuzzi tub for 2, a 4 foot shower, warm cast iron gas freestanding fireplace. The loveseat and chairs are a great place to relax and watch TV. A desk is tucked away in its own nook overlooking the grounds down to the creek. As with all of our rooms a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, coffee maker adorn the large vanity. In addition to its own private covered porch there is a large screened in porch on the side of the Garden Haus features a fireplace with a sitting area to read a book or just enjoy the outdoors. Also the porch has an antique rocker, table and chairs great area to visit your friends.

Stage Stop houses our downstairs office and suite 111 upstairs in the original 1857 Stage Stop which is the oldest building at the Meyer. This was the last stop on the Old Spanish Trail before crossing the Guadalupe River heading toward Boerne.

This room features beaded board ceilings and walls throughout. This king size pillow top bed with quilted spread brings you back in time. The large vanity features a tin sink with a antique style pump faucet. A small fridge and microwave are added for convenience. A table, chairs and futon which converts to an additional full size bed makes your stay more comfortable.

Suite 351- $170

This private cottage has one of the best views of the Cypress Creek. Features a King size pillow top bed & a comfortable leather chair to relax in. The clawfoot tub is great for soaking,
but a seperate shower is also available. An 8 X 15 screened in porch with a sitting arrangement
allow a spectacular view of the creek.
