Austin Bergstrom International Airport and 10 minutes west of Historic Bastrop.

Welcome to the Blue Heron Inn & Bed and Breakfast, located  southeast of Austin; only 15 minutes from Austin Bergstrom International Airport and 10 minutes west of Historic Bastrop.  Get a little taste of the country and relax in the comfort of deluxe accommodations in our two story Colonial style home with four spacious rooms to choose from, located on the second floor, and enjoy a full gourmet selection of items from our breakfast menu.  Come join us for a unique bed and breakfast experience.  The Blue Heron is close to LCRA's McKinney Roughs, Optimum Health, Agilent Technologies, and the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort.
 

We are also available to host family gatherings, showers, business meetings, luncheons, afternoon teas, and other events.

Our colonial home is over 6000 square feet.  Also for your enjoyment is the upstairs den and exercise room. Entering through the front door, you will experience the spacious main front room with a 21 foot ceiling and five 18 foot windows.  The entrance to the guest bedrooms are up the grand stairway. In addition to the four upstairs bedrooms, is a comfortable den for guests to socialize and relax.  A wide variety of books, videos, board games and cards are available for your entertainment.
 

Downstairs adjacent to the guest dining room is a spacious exercise room.  It consist of a treadmill, Nordic Track and weights.  The room is decorated in cedar planks and has lots of windows for an outdoor feeling.

 Enjoy a full gourmet breakfast, of your choice, in our formal dining room.  Breakfast choices include:  Fresh ground coffee,  Eggs, Pancakes, Belgian Waffles, Omelets, (New Orleans Crawfish Omelet is our specialty),  French Toast and other specialty items.   Coffee, along with an assortment of teas, hot chocolate, juices and snacks  are  always available in the upstairs guests' kitchen  

The Blue Heron B&B is situated on 4.5 acres.  In front of the house is a large pond stocked with fish if you have interest in trying your fishing skills.  Blue Herons are occasionally  seen in the pond.  Off the back deck is a garden patio with a  small goldfish pond and waterfall for a relaxing place to sit and let your worries slip away.

After a full day, you can feed the ducks in the pond, socialize with other guests, or snuggle up with a good book. The Blue Heron offers four spacious bedrooms on the second floor, two with private baths, and two with a shared bath, along with other amenities for your enjoyment. Also included to all guests is a  den for socializing, guests' kitchen, high speed WIFI internet service, and access through the back stairway to the hot tub off the back deck.

Bridal Luncheons and Bridal Showers

Blue Heron B&B makes a beautiful setting for your bridal luncheon or shower.  A list of caterers are available for your event.  You and your bridesmaids can even make a weekend of it and spend the night in any of our beautifully decorated rooms and wake in the morning to a full gourmet breakfast.

 

Historic Bastrop is just minutes away with its unique shops, parks, hiking trails and golf courses. Bastrop has many annual events including:

• Annual Bastrop Homecoming, Rodeo, Dance, and Parade - first weekend in August

Hold your wedding, reception, rehearsal dinner, or bridal shower at the Blue Heron B&B. Enjoy the elegance and graciousness that the facility has to offer for your special day. It's the perfect setting for your wedding and reception for up to 50 people indoors or up to 100 outdoors for a picturesque garden wedding. Feel the warmth of a home setting in addition to accommodating family & guests for the night in one of our beautifully decorated bedrooms. Your event can be held outdoors under the trees or indoors in our spacious 1600 square foot living room with 23 foot ceilings. The front staircase offers an opportunity for the bride to make a grande entrance to her wedding ceremony. Services include providing chairs, tables and tablecloths. We have a list of caterers you may wish to use for your catering needs. We have also comprised a list of other services you may need for you to choose from. Such as: wedding consultants, photographers, florists, bakers and more. Rooms are available for the bride and groom or any member of the bridal party for the evening, along with gift baskets and flowers.

Rehearsal Dinners

Let us take the stress out of planning your rehearsal dinner. We will take care of everything for you. From setting up tables and chairs to a scrumptious catered dinner, just sit back, relax and enjoy the company of friends and family.
