Our peaceful and secluded 22 acres is located in the top of the Texas Hill Country just 4 miles from Brownwood and 2 miles from beautiful Lake Brownwood. We offer private cottages and other unique lodging experiences, like a Vintage Trailer. We deliver a full hot breakfast to your room each morning around 9 am. Our check in time is any time after 3 pm and check out is at 1 pm. We have many packages to add for your romantic Texas getaway. We specialize in peace and pamper.

Add a special package, of a Massage and You're Special Tray with wine, Canoe the Pecan Bayou or we will deliver a Romantic Dinner to your cottage in the evening.

Our rooms are all different and offer something for everyone. Some have jacuzzi tubs and some have outdoor hot tubs.

Just minutes from town and great local restaurants, or head to Lake Brownwood,  or better yet just come "relax and do nothing."

All rooms have Keurig coffee makers, small refrigerators and WiFi internet. Cottages are spaced apart so you have plenty of privacy to enjoy each other.

Settle down to a peaceful nights sleep in a queen bed after soaking in a hot tub or Jacuzzi tub for 2 and awaken to the singing of birds and a country breakfast. We will help you with the details that reflect your relationship. We have a beautiful native garden setting with outdoor decks or the Texas Star Garden Chapel in which to hold your wedding ceremony.

All you have to do is bring your license from your county in Texas which must be completed 72 hours before the ceremony, and we do the rest. 

Intimate Texas Wedding

Our Intimate Texas Wedding, is for the couple and up to 25 guest. Cost of the Intimate Texas Wedding is $979 plus tax, with a $250 non-refundable deposit taken to reserve your date.

You will have the following for this small intimate wedding which will be up to 1 1/2 hours for ceremony and reception:

• Chairs for your guest
• Chaplain to do the ceremony
• Flowers for the Bride
• Cake and punch reception
• 2 nights in the room of your choice.

Brides we highly recomend that you wear flats, as our walkways are native rock and the decks have spacing that a heal can slip into.

We do require a contract & non-refundable deposit on the wedding and reception or dinner to reserve your date.

At Star of Texas Bed and Breakfast, we provide an elopement destination in Texas for an intimate ceremony for just the two of you.

We offer two perfectly romantic Texas elopement packages. Our grounds are peaceful and secluded, so your ceremony will be also. Don or Jared are licensed to marry you, and will perform the ceremony at a time that you set in the location that you choose on our grounds.

Elope in Texas to our Hill Country B&B, and we'll take care of the details.  Your hostess, will prepare a small wedding cake and sparkling drink for your toast and a seasonal hand-tied bouquet for the bride. Music playing in the background creates the perfect mood to enhance the indoor or outdoor setting. Photos will be taken of the entire ceremony, burned to a CD, and sent to you for you to use as you wish.

We strive to make this a stress-free day for you and do all the work and planning to create memories you will cherish forever. You will need to bring a Texas marriage license acquired 72 hours before your ceremony. Then, show up with the license and rings, and dress as you prefer; we do the rest. Our property has native rock walkways, so we recommend that brides do not wear heels. We suggest flats to be able to move around for pictures.

We do charge  your credit card at time of booking, a  non-refundable deposit to reserve your date of 232.14. We prefer cash or check for the remainder of your balance please.

If you enjoy spending time in the great outdoors, you may want to canoe the scenic Pecan Bayou to look for birds and other wildlife. Also, nearby Lake Brownwood provides opportunities for boating, jet skiing, water skiing, and fishing for bass, crappie, perch, and gar, as well as rock climbing at the "crags."

Visit the Lehnis Train Museum to see a great display of miniature trains, The Douglas MacArthur Academy of Freedoms' 2-story mural of history, or other museums here. We have great local restaurants and a small downtown shopping area, plenty of antique stores, and outdoor activities abound. You might just want to get away and do nothing, and that's ok too. We have plenty of relaxing time here at the Star of Texas Bed and Breakfast.
 

Enter Brownwood come to Hwy 279, then turn onto FM 2125, drive 3.7 miles then left onto Morelock Lane, follow the lane to our sign.
