We offer private cottages and other unique lodging experiences, like a Vintage Trailer. We deliver a full hot breakfast to your room each morning around 9 am. Our check in time is any time after 3 pm and check out is at 1 pm. We have many packages to add for your romantic Texas getaway. We specialize in peace and pamper.

Our rooms are all different and offer something for everyone. Some have jacuzzi tubs and some have outdoor hot tubs.

All rooms have Keurig coffee makers, small refrigerators and WiFi internet. Cottages are spaced apart so you have plenty of privacy to enjoy each other.

We know that you want your wedding to be special, so we work with you to create a Hill Country wedding ceremony and reception that is traditional or unique with less stress. We will help you with the details that reflect your relationship. We have a beautiful native garden setting with outdoor decks or the Texas Star Garden Chapel in which to hold your wedding ceremony.

Intimate Texas Wedding

This ceremony is for the couple and up to 8 guest. We provide the chairs for guest, a cake table, small hand decorated wedding cake, punch and glasses for a toast. Fresh flower bouquet for the bride, our choice. Total of 1 1/2 hours for the ceremony and reception. We do all the set up and clean up. Then a wonderful 2 night honeymoon in the room of your choice.  A $250 non-refundable deposit is required. Total package is $995.00 plus tax.

Texas Elopement & Honeymoon Package

Just for the 2 of you, come elope at our bed & breakfast. We do the ceremony, have a cake and punch toast and fresh bouquet for the bride. 2 nights in the room of your choice, each get a 1 hour private massage, and then a Romantic dinner delivered to your cottage, plus breakfast delivered each morning. A non-refundable deposit is requiered. Total package is $835 plus tax.

Also, nearby Lake Brownwood provides opportunities for boating, jet skiing, water skiing, and fishing for bass, crappie, perch, and gar, as well as rock climbing at the "crags."

Visit the Lehnis Train Museum to see a great display of miniature trains, The Douglas MacArthur Academy of Freedoms' 2-story mural of history, or other museums here. We have great local restaurants and a small downtown shopping area, plenty of antique stores, and outdoor activities abound. You might just want to get away and do nothing, and that's ok too. We have plenty of relaxing time here at the Star of Texas Bed and Breakfast.

This restaurant is located in Historic Downtown. They are part of the slow food movement and offer a wonderful atmosphere to dine. The Wine Bar is open Tuesday through Saturday evenings. Lunch is served Tuesday through Saturday also, and evening dining is by reservation on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. Locally owned, this place offers everything from great salads to mouth-watering steaks. My favorite is the Grilled Chicken Spinach Quesadilla. Oh, and don't forget the flaming, Apple Butter Rum Pie!
