Our peaceful and secluded 22 acres is located in the top of the Texas Hill Country just 4 miles from Brownwood and 2 miles from beautiful Lake Brownwood. We offer private cottages and other unique lodging experiences, like a Vintage Trailer. We deliver a full hot breakfast to your room each morning around 9 am. Our check in time is any time after 3 pm and check out is at 1 pm. We have many packages to add for your romantic Texas getaway. We specialize in peace and pamper.

The Star of Texas Gift Shop in Brownwood, TX

The gift shop, located next to the bed and breakfast's Main house, offers many handcrafted items from your hosts and local artist. Don, an artist Blacksmith, has an assortment of beautiful crafted crosses and other forged items. Debbie plays with clay and offers some pottery pieces. Local artist doing cut stone, beaded crosses and other items are available. Cookbooks which feature some of the B&B's own recipes are for sale along with our special B&B soap, T-shirts, photo cards and even a little drink & snack area.

Have a lovely Garden wedding or inside our Garden Room. Wanting something more private then slip away for our Ultimate Texas Elopement Honeymoon getaway, where just the two of you have a private ceremony with cake & punch, then unwind with a massage for two and follow that with a Romantic Dinner basket in your room.

Catch us on a weekend with a special event, tour the local wineries or enjoy a meal at one of our favorite restaurants, or just come and sit on the porch and enjoy the peace and quiet. Settle down to a peaceful nights sleep in a queen bed after soaking in a hot tub or Jacuzzi tub for 2 and awaken to the singing of birds and a country breakfast. We know that you want your wedding to be special, so we work with you to create a Hill Country wedding ceremony and reception that is traditional or unique with less stress. We will help you with the details that reflect your relationship. We have a beautiful native garden setting with outdoor decks or the Texas Star Garden Chapel in which to hold your wedding ceremony.

If you do not want a full wedding package, see our Ultimate Texas Elopement Honeymoon on the packages page, just for the 2 of you. We make your elopement simple. All you have to do is bring your license from your county in Texas which must be completed 72 hours before the ceremony, and we do the rest.

Our weddings are for 50 people and under.

The Basic Wedding and Reception Package includes:
•The Tuscany Suite & Oak Cottage for 2 nights
•Resident Chaplain to perform ceremony
•White wooden wedding chairs for guests
•Use of Garden Room and outdoor garden decks
•Personal wedding & reception hostess
•Public restroom
•Parking attendant
•Set up & clean up of our equipment
•One hour of rehearsal time if needed
•Reception is for 2 hours for simple cake, punch and/or finger foods. We do not provide any of the food. Over 2 hrs will be $85 per hour. 2 tables are included for the foods.
Cost of the Basic Wedding Package is $1,850.00 plus tax. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is taken to reserve your date.

The following items may be added to the Basic package at the extra cost shown:
•8-foot tables & 5-foot round tables, $10 each
•White net bows lining the walkways, $15
•Limited use of kitchen $25

Brides we highly recomend that you wear flats, as our walkways are native rock and the decks have spacing that a heal can slip into.
