  • Introduction

Bass PondBerry Springs Lodge is a relaxing Smoky Mountain bed and breakfast resort retreat intended for guests that are looking for a quiet romantic getaway in the Great Smoky Mountains. Located in Seviervill, Tennessee, we offer much more than your average Gatlinburg bed and breakfast, this Smoky Mountain resort offers many activities and amenities. You can fish in either our bass or catfish ponds, ride bikes on either our mountain trail or our loop trail, play horseshoes, canoe, play table tennis, volleyball, hike or just sit back and enjoy the beautiful views of the Smoky Mountains and gorgeous rolling hills from your rocking chair on the main deck.

We have 9 rooms located in the main Lodge and 2 mini suites located in the cabin adjacent to the main Lodge. Each room is uniquely named and decorated and has a private bath and individual climate controlled heat & air for personal comfort. We have a large living room with wood burning fireplace, dining room, guest library equipped with over a thousand DVD & VHS movies, fitness room with treadmill, elliptical and a full body workout machine. We offer a 3 course breakfast daily from 8:00am–9:30 am and every evening at 7:00pm a signature dessert. We always have coffee, sodas, juice and milk available all day as well as a variety of snacks. Have you ever heard "home is where the heart is"? We think they should have added cool mountain breezes, beautiful sunrises over majestic peaks and people with Southern hospitality.

  • Insider's Info

Travelers are always looking for memorable and relaxing experiences. Let’s discover more through the words of our innkeepers. Many thanks to Patrick and Susan Eisert for sharing their own secrets with BBOnline.com!
Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

I think initially Trip Advisor reviews might be the reason someone books with us. We were the winners of the Travelers Choice Award for 2013. Once they stay with us, I think they keep coming back because of the peaceful and tranquil surroundings, along with Southern hospitality, delicious food, and amazing views.

What are you best known for?

I think we are best known for our beautiful rolling hills and attention to detail when it comes to our guests needs.

    What makes your inn unique?

What makes us unique is every room has its own private bath and our rooms were designed with individual temperature controls in every room for personal comfort.

What do you love most about your inn?

What I love the most about our Inn is the location. We are just minutes from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, but still secluded enough to make you feel like you are a million miles away.

If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

If you have never visited the area, the number one reason to come is the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains.

What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

Our stay was perfect; you guys thought of everything, wish we could stay longer, we will definitely be back!

What’s the best kept secret about the area?

I think Cades Cove is a place in our area that a lot of people do not know about. It is an 11 mile loop you can drive, walk or bike around. It is preserved by the National Park and you can view old homes and there is lots of wildlife roaming free. It is also fun to pack a picnic lunch and make a day of it.

If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

You will definitely want to hike or walk around our property and go for a bike ride, or take the canoe out on one of our ponds, play a game of pool, horseshoes, or crochet. There are a lot of shows around town including some dinner shows. Gatlinburg would be a good way to spend a day. They have all of the Ripley attractions as well as Guinness book of world records, Ober Gatlinburg which you can ride the tram up to. Take a drive around Cades Coves, visit the National Park. Dollywood in Pigeon Forge is a great way to spend a couple of days seeing shows and riding amusement rides. How about sitting on our back porch looking out at the beautiful rolling hills relaxing the day away. There are so many things to do you will never be bored.

Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

We are within walking distance to hiking, biking, basketball, horseshoes, crochet, 2 ponds stocked for fishing or a canoe ride, located right here on property.

What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?

It would be hard to say I have just one favorite restaurant. My favorite place for lunch is Old Mill Pottery House Cafe in Pigeon Forge. Favorite Dinner would be Old Mill Restaurant in Pigeon Forge, or for finer dining The Peddler in Gatlinburg is wonderful.

Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference?

Our website http://www.berrysprings.com/ has direct links to all the popular things to do in the area and you can also request a free area guide to be mailed to you.

How many rooms does your inn have?

We have 9 rooms located inside the main Lodge and 2 mini suites located in the cabin adjacent to the main Lodge.

    Do you accept pets?

We do not accept pets, but there are several kennels in our area that we are happy to suggest. Berry Springs Lodge is a relaxing Smoky Mountain bed and breakfast resort retreat intended for guests that are looking for a quiet romantic getaway in the Great Smoky Mountains.

  • Dining

We serve breakfast each morning in our dining room from 8 to 9:30 am. You are welcome to sit at an intimate table for two or at the large group table in the center of the dining room. We serve a filling country gourmet breakfast each morning, but if something lighter is appealing try our fresh fruit plate or baked old fashioned oatmeal.

Are you planning a hike, a leisurely drive in the National Park or just staying here at the lodge and relaxing? We offer boxed or backpack lunches. How about a "Romantic Dinner Basket" for two. Enjoy the beautiful ambiance of the mountainous landscape from the "Mountain View Pavilion" as you serve yourself to a unique dining experience. You have a choice of a juicy, tender grilled Ribeye Steak, an Atlantic Salmon fillet or a fresh boneless skinless chicken breast served with either a baked white or sweet potato. A medley of grilled seasoned vegetables, seasoned twisted bread sticks, appetizer and a sinful dessert to finish the evening. We must have your order request by the evening before or by 10am at the latest.
