The morning mist hovers in the valley. Huge hay stacks cast long shadows across the quiet meadows. You can almost see the garrison of gray-coated Confederates going in and out of their tents that once stretched along the banks of the Duck River running through the farm.
Standing outside the Inn, filled with a breakfast worthy of a general and a cup of hot coffee, you have a panoramic view of wooded hills splashed with color and myriad shades of green, the silos, the fences, the Beefalo cattle moving from the rustic barn to the quiet fields that surround the Inn--it is a time, a moment you have dreamed about.

Away But In Touch - Corporate or Board Retreat, Reunion, Church Retreat
Getting away from the rush and pressures of the daily routine is essential to clear thinking whether you're the CEO needing to solve a problem or the board of directors needing privacy to focus on strategic planning. All the great thinkers of the world sought solitude to do their work. Come to the country and work on your great thoughts!

Meeting Rooms
The Executive Conference Center at Parish Patch is tucked away in the peaceful privacy of a 230 acre working farm in the hills of middle Tennessee just 60 miles from Nashville. Meet in the Executive Conference Center with a classroom set up for 60 or circle the leather chairs in the Great Room for an informal team building session by the fireplace. Send a break out group to the Inn's Patio Room or find the hammock to be alone with your thoughts. For the really important sessions meet around the executive board table. Tell us to hold calls from your office or stay in touch by email, fax, phone, or the internet.
Lodging
You won't have to leave the comforts of home when you retreat to Parish Patch. Our 21 bedrooms are furnished with plush beds, fine antiques, private baths, telephones, televisions, and running water!

Food Service
Start your day with a full country breakfast that is included in our room rates. For lunch have a fried chicken boxed lunch in your meeting room or graze at a deli bar in the Inn Dining Room. For dinner we suggest fine dining at our historic Cortner Mill Restaurant here on the farm. Whether you choose Cornish game hen, baked trout, or T-bone steak from cattle we raise, you will find a fabulous wine from our cellar to complement it.

Satisfied Executives
"Everyone was complimentary of not only the beautiful location, but the extra efforts put forth by Johnnie and David. Your attention to detail and the seclusion of your facility make it a perfect location for our marketing planning meeting. We look forward to our next opportunity to be your guests." Dorothy Foster - Brown-Forman Beverages - Louisville, KY
"The privacy of your conference center was just what we needed for our annual summit meeting." Fran Marcum - MicroCraft - Tullahoma, TN
"I think we were wise to go on this retreat, because it was the only way to really get time to write. I think it gave us a head start and the writing flowed more freely. We were ready to record again, to get some more music down on disc, because we wrote so much." Martie Seidel - Dixie Chicks - CMA Album of the Year, 6 million sold

The 120 seat chapel at Parish Patch was built by the owners to celebrate their daughter's wedding in 2004. It was their gift to her and thus bears her name. It is nestled in the trees on a hill as you drive into Parish Patch and overlooks the meadows and Tennessee hills.
Limestone from a Civil War era fence on the property was used for the exterior, giving the chapel a timeless connection with its natural surroundings. The interior is of natural wood planks with windows that look out onto the world. Benches were made by local craftsmen using aromatic cedar logs cut from the property. For more information about Whitney Chapel

Elegant Country Dining in the Scenic Historic Atmosphere of an 1825 Grist Mill
As early as 1825 grain travelled across the mill stones at Cortner Mill on its way to feed the community. The mill stones are now embedded in the threshold of the front door and the community travels across them on their way to be fed. Corn meal and flour have given way to elegant country dining. Miller's aprons have been traded for chef jackets.
Food and Wine to Celebrate!
The community comes to Cortner Mill when it wants to celebrate. Couples come to celebrate an anniversary. Families come to celebrate weddings and birthdays. Businesses come to celebrate retirements and the end of another successful year. Friends bring their out of town guests to show off a community treasure.

I can't stomach it any longer! I need to tell my side of the story or I will be sick with guilt. This confession actually starts with my stomach. Guests who come here many times over the years often ask David and Claudia, "what ever happened to Sneaker?" I'll tell you straight out. I ate him! There! I feel better already. Sneaker was a rooster who lived here before I was born. David can tell you how he got such a ridiculous name. He was kind of a mascot and a favorite with the guests. You might say he had this job before me. He would perch on the window sill at breakfast and crow as if begging for biscuits. The first day I saw him, I knew he was competition. I was just six months old and had run down the hill from the house to the Patch when I saw this big bird. I'm a bird dog, right? There you have it. Ask about Sneaker if you want, but please don't do it around me. It just makes me feel bad.
