Whitestone Country Inn

Federal style architecture was the inspiration for The Farmhouse. Porches, decks and patios encourage relaxation as you enjoy the swing or the rocking chairs. The main floor has expansive gathering areas around the wood-burning fireplaces. Most of the meals are served here on the Sun Porch or in the Sun Room. There is also a beautiful formal dining room for small intimate dinner parties. On the lower level is a conference room and a recreation area to relax by the fireplace or engage in the game of pool, Scrabble, Checkers or various other games and puzzles available. On the upper level is a large library with a wide-range of books for your enjoyment. Nine guest rooms are located in the Farmhouse.

Blue Heron: Located on the main floor of the Farmhouse this intimate corner room has a view of the park area and Watts Bar Lake. Decorated in soft shades of blue and yellow this room has a queen bed, fireplace, TV/DVD, desk and two comfortable chairs. The bath has a one-person whirlpool tub/shower combination. This room is handicap accessible. $165 nightly

Bluebird: This room is located on the main floor of the Farmhouse with a view of the park area. It is decorated in soft blues and white. Bluebirds love picket fences so we have a picket fence headboard in this room. There are two comfortable chairs, a lovely fireplace, an antique lift top desk, and a TV/DVD in this room. The bath has a one-person whirlpool tub/shower combination. $180 nightly

Hummingbird Suite: Appealing 672 square foot room with a Victorian flare located on the patio level of the Farmhouse. It is decorated in the soft pinks and green of the Ruby Throated Hummingbird. Lots of windows in the sitting area provide exceptional views of the lake and the mountains. There is an antique oak fireplace mantel next to the armoire housing the TV/DVD. The large his and her bath has an elevated whirlpool tub and a separate shower. $260 nightly

Mallard Suite: Large room on main floor of Farmhouse with extraordinary view. Suite has a large 4-poster king bed, an antique day bed, and a comfortable sitting area with a unique under-the-window fireplace. The large bath with an elevated whirlpool tub in the bay window also has a large separate shower. There is a private deck overlooking the lake. $260 nightly

Canada Goose: This room has lots of windows to view the pasture, the lake and the mountains as well as the Canadian Geese. It is located on the lower level of the Farmhouse and has two large comfortable chairs beside the under-the-window fireplace. There is an antique desk and a TV/DVD as well as an oversized whirlpool tub. $195 nightly

Woodpecker Suite: As you enter the Woodpecker Suite, you will see the curved wall with the unique curved desk. Also, there is a romantic Four poster canopy king bed and queen sleeper sofa with a lovely sitting area that opens out on a large deck with a fabulous view. This room is accessed from the balcony library on the second floor of the Farmhouse. There is an oversized whirlpool tub and separate shower in the bathroom. $245 nightly

Cardinal: On the upper level of the Farmhouse is our 1000 square foot Cardinal Suite. The main room has a king-sized canopy bed, desk, sitting area by the antique fireplace, and opens onto a large deck that has a fabulous view. Off the main room are three small rooms that have 4-twin beds. There is an over-sized whirlpool tub and separate shower in the large bath. This is a great room for a family, a group of guys or gals, or a romantic room for a couple. A matchless view of the lake and mountains is captured from a private deck. $265 nightly

Goldfinch: The cathedral ceiling and curved wall add interesting architectural features to this appealing room on the upper level of the Farmhouse. From the distinctive sitting area, the Goldfinch has a wonderful view of the lake and mountains, a corner fireplace with an antique mantle, a king bed and a queen sleeper sofa. There is an oversized whirlpool tub and separate shower in the bathroom. $255 nightly

As you drive into the main entrance at Whitestone, you will pass through our Entrance Barn, a gambrel roofed red barn typical of barns often seen in East Tennessee. We encourage you to leave your cares behind as you enter the Whitestone Sanctuary for the Soul. Our Entrance Barn houses four units including 3 suites complete with well equipped kitchens plus a spacious guest room.

Meadowlark Suite: Bright cheerful suite located on the main level of the Entrance Barn. The Meadowlark includes a living room with a queen sofa bed, table and chairs, kitchenette, and a separate intimate bedroom with a king-size bed. This suite features an oversized Ultra whirlpool corner tub located where you can enjoy the corner fireplace or watch a movie while you soak in a luxurious whirlpool bath. $210 nightly

Robin's Nest: This inviting room is located on the upper level of the Entrance Barn. The extraordinary view from the deck overlooks the farmhouse and the lake. The room includes a king-size bed, two easy chairs, fireplace, microwave, TV/DVD, and a whirlpool tub/shower combination. $185 nightly

Chickadee Suite: This welcoming suite is located on the main level of the Entrance Barn. The Chickadee includes a living room with a queen sofa bed, table and chairs, kitchenette, and a separate bedroom with a king-size iron bed. From the oversized Ultra whirlpool tub you can enjoy a fire in the fireplace or watch a good movie. $210 nightly

Sparrow Suite: This 2000 square foot suite is located on the upper level of the Entrance Barn. The 26 foot cathedral ceiling soars above the great room which has a sitting room with a queen sofa bed and easy chairs, a dining table, chairs and a full kitchen. Behind the kitchen area is a bedroom with a king bed and bath with an oversized Ultra whirlpool tub. On the loft above the great room is a master bedroom with a king bed and private bath with another whirlpool tub as well as a spa waterfall shower. The deck has a panoramic view of the pasture, farmhouse, and the lake. $305 nightly, $85 for additional bedroom

The red School House complete with a school bell in the tower is the hub of Whitestone's New England style village. This is the reception area where you check-in and check-out; a shop with Whitestone souvenirs and assorted gifts, snacks, and beverages; offices; two guest rooms; and sporting equipment (tennis, shuffleboard, boating supplies, etc.). Our School House was inspired by a Lee Stroncek painting entitled "Country School".

The Indigo is located on the main level of the Schoolhouse. Decorated in the lovely blue color of the Indigo Bunting birds, this room has a king-size bed, loveseat, antique oak mantle, antique desk and end tables, a microwave, and an oversized Ultra whirlpool tub and separate shower in the large bathroom. There is a large deck to enjoy the lake view. This room can also be set-up as two twin beds. $195 nightly

This suite is located on the upper level of the Schoolhouse and has an intimate private deck and a wonderful view overlooking Whitestone, the lake and mountains. The Falcon has a cathedral ceiling, king bed, loveseat, recliner, and a fully equipped kitchenette. The bathroom has a large spa tub and a spa waterfall shower.

The Victorian style Lion and the Lamb complete with a two-story octagonal turret and wrap around porch has a large dining area on the main floor with lovely tray ceilings and decorative millwork. Wedding receptions, Holiday parties, and larger gatherings are held here. A conference room is located on the upper level as well as three guest rooms. The guest rooms have custom cherry cabinetry and mantels as well as dark wood furniture typical of the era. Often the view from the Lion and the Lamb includes Eagles, Osprey and Hawks soaring over the water.

Eagles Landing Suite

 This extraordinary octagonal suite it located on the upper level of the Lion and Lamb. Windows giving you a matchless panoramic view surround the room. There is a dramatic king-size bed, sofa, easy chair, antique desk and distinctive built-in fireplace. The bathroom has an oversized Ultra whirlpool tub and a large custom waterfall shower with jets for massaging you in the shower as well as steam jets. The private deck overlooks the heart-shaped courtyard, gazebo, and chapel. $325 nightly

Osprey Suite: This welcoming corner room is located on the upper level of the Lion and Lamb. It has a romantic king-size bed, loveseat, easy chair, antique desk, and private treetop deck. The large spacious bathroom has an oversized Ultra whirlpool tub beside a bay window and a spa waterfall shower with jets to massage you in the shower as well. $295 nightly

Hawks Nest: The Hawk is located on the upper level of the Lion and Lamb. It has a private deck directly facing the lake giving you a panoramic view of the pasture and Watts Bar Lake. The Hawk decor has a French flair with a king-size bed, chaise lounge, easy chair, desk and fireplace. The bathroom has a corner Ultra oversized whirlpool tub and a spa waterfall shower with jets to massage you in the shower as well as steam jets. $295 nightly

The Rose Cottage is located closer to the water than the other buildings. Because of its location the Rose Cottage, with its soft pastel hues, is more secluded than any other buildings. From the decks and porches you can often see White-Tailed Deer running through the park. The Rose Cottage houses three very unique guest rooms.

Mocking Bird

 On the main level of the Rose Cottage the Mockingbird features a beaded pine cathedral ceiling, bay window, sofa, king size bed, light oak antique mantle, desk and microwave. The bathroom has an oversized Ultra whirlpool tub and a spa waterfall shower with jets to massage you. There is a private deck with a limited view of the lake thru the trees.

Oriole Suite: On the upper level of the Rose Cottage. The Oriole has a treetop deck with a view of the lake. This large suite has a comfortable sitting area, desk, microwave, king-size bed, antique mantle, and a nook room with two twin beds. The bathroom has an oversized Ultra whirlpool tub and a spa waterfall shower with jets to massage you in the shower. $295 nightly

Purple Martin: This suite is located on the main level of the Rose Cottage. As you enter on the private porch of this suite, there is an intimate two-person hot tub. The suite includes a lovely sitting area facing the fireplace with an antique dark oak mantle. The sitting area includes a sofa and an oversized chair . There is a wet bar with a microwave and table and chairs. The draped ceiling in the bedroom has rope lighting creating a lovely romantic effect around the king-size bed. The bathroom has a large corner waterfall spa with jets to massage you in the shower. $285 nightly

Located in The Sanctuary at Whitestone adjacent to Whitestone Country Inn. This new warm and inviting retreat home has 2,500 sq. feet and three bedrooms with in-suite bathrooms. This home is available for rent as a whole, or the Main and Terrace levels can be locked off and rented separately. The house sleeps six people. Breakfast at Whitestone Country Inn is included; other meals are at additional cost and require reservations. Cumberland View Cottage is available for sale as a whole ownership or fractional (shared) ownership property.

Main Level

The main level has an open floor plan, including a spacious living room with a gas fireplace, a full kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, and a dining room with an inviting window seat awash with morning light. The dining table and the island bar will seat 10 for meals. The Main master bedroom has a king canopy bed, and a luxurious bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and a walk-in shower. There is a full laundry room is on the Main level as well. Adjacent to the dining room is a wrap-around covered deck with a cozy wood-burning fireplace and spectacular views. $340 nightly

Terrace Level

The Terrace level has its own sitting area, a wet-bar with a small refrigerator and a microwave. It has a master bedroom with a king bed, a Jacuzzi tub, and walk-in shower. There is a second bedroom with two twin beds and a bathroom with a tub/shower combination. In addition to these rooms, the terrace level also has a separate outside living space that affords spectacular lake and mountain views. $285 nightly

Our "Rivendell" cottage has two suites the Wood Duck and the Whippoorwill. Each have spacious bedrooms, luxury bath with an oversized spa tub and 40 sq. ft walk in shower, A cozy living room that has a wood burning fireplace and a small kitchenette. Each suite has a private deck overlooking pasture and lake.
Whippoorwill Suite

 Situated in the edge of the woods the new Rivendell Cottage houses this lovely 800 square foot suite. In the living room you will enjoy the wood burning fireplace, a writing desk, a TV/DVD player, a comfortable seating area with a full-sized sofa bed, a small kitchenette and eating area. As you enter the bedroom with it large picture window, you will see the beautiful wood mirror opposite the king bed. The luxurious spacious bathroom features a 40 square foot walk-in shower with multiple shower heads and an oversized spa tub. This suite features a beaded pine cathedral ceiling plus a private deck with great views of the pasture and lake. $295 Nightly

Wood Duck

 Located in the new Rivendell Cottage this 800 square foot 2-room suite features a wood burning fireplace in a cozy living room with a queen size sofa bed, a small kitchenette and eating area, a TV/DVD player, and a

desk. The spacious bedroom with its large picture window has a king bed with antique mantle headboard, a TV/DVD player and a sitting area. The spacious bathroom has a 40 square foot walk-in shower with multiple shower heads and an oversized spa tub. The living room and bedroom both feature beaded pine cathedral ceilings and each room has great lake views. Relax on your private deck as you enjoy the sounds of nature.

With its chapel, lodge, barns and farmhouse, Whitestone resembles a New England village. Guests register at the Little Red Schoolhouse after driving through the Entrance Barn. Whitestone has 21 rooms to select from, each one spacious and tastefully decorated, with a charm of its own. Every room has a private bath with a whirlpool tub, a cozy fireplace, big bed, comfortable chairs, writing desks and enough quiet for an afternoon nap. The rooms and suites are named for birds in the neighboring Wildlife and Waterfowl Refuge. Stained glass transoms at most doors depict the bird for which it is named. Overnight guests are treated to a hearty, country-style breakfast in the restaurant of the Farmhouse. Dinner and lunch are available by reservation. Amenities of Each Room Include:
