Breakfast at Creekwalk Inn
In the morning, you’ll be treated to a delicious gourmet breakfast. Winter breakfasts usually are at small fireside or creek view tables for two, or guests may request breakfast delivered to their room or porch.
- Grilled glazed grapefruit half with broiled cranberries
- Orange apple smoothie
- Oatmeal sweetened with dates and maple syrup
- Brandied peach French toast
- Thick sliced apple cured bacon
- Custom roast coffee or our private label organic tea blends Forestberry or Creekwalk Blooms
We ask that guests let us know what they dislike or prefer not to eat, and then play at the chef's whim...we have served such spontaneous cuisine entrees as:
- Confetti of pansy omelettes
- Asparagus and portabella quiche
- Baked brie stuffed with raspberries and pistachios
Our most famous entree is our own recipe for sausage roll, a pastry delight stuffed with local sausage, cream cheese, and apple or sweet potato butter and baked to perfection! Our fresh garden vegetables in summer often grace the breakfast table...fried green tomatoes, colorful peppers...
Our chef Janice has studied at the Santa Fe School of Cooking in New Mexico, so a southwest flair may surprise you, but the food always reflects a gathering of local produce, much from our local orchard and vegetable barn, Carver's Orchard, just 2 miles down the road, if not from the garden. Fresh organic herbs are always available in the window boxes for garnishing.
Don't be surprised if you experience an original dish created just for you...mixed in with the favorites such as steaming hot strawberry crepes or Janice's family sweet roll recipe full of cinnamon swirls.
Summer breakfasts are usually served outdoors on the porches...again, a private table may always be requested.
Dinner at Creekwalk Inn
Dinner menus by reservation begin with a chat with our private chef who will prepare your meal...to find out your passions in the world of cuisine...then we play!
Our steaks are marinated and prepared over an open flame, seafood grilled or blackened, our vegetables always fresh and lightly steamed or baked...each dinner is a four-course delight served under the stars in summer (weather permitting) by torchlight. Bring your own favorite wines to pair with each course, or ask our chef for suggestions.
Appetizer trays are complimentary with a 3-night reservation on one of your afternoons enjoying the farm...we may create a tray of hors d'oeurves including artichoke hearts, olives, gourmet cheese, or chocolates.
You also may request gift baskets or flower arrangements as a surprise for birthdays, anniversaries, or any special occasion.
Of course, you are always invited to borrow one of our daypacks and take to the trails in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We will pack either a simple lunch or prepare an elaborate trailside feast. Our well water is famed the best in the east, so water bottles filled with our delicious water are a must!

Hot Springs, NC, is a fun stop on the way if you want to go back roads and have a massage or soak in a spring-fed hot tub.
Dollywood in Pigeon Forge is about 35 minutes from the farm, again on back roads avoiding traffic. There is great shopping in the Great Smoky Mountains Arts and Crafts Guild Loop between the farm and Gatlinburg make a fun day of crafting, pubs, and tea rooms.
Gatlinburg offers Ripley's Aquarium, walking with the sharks and petting the sting rays, quite a change from swimming with mountain trout in our favorite river swimming holes, such as Midnight Hole at Big Creek, one of the nearby National Park entrances.
Tail of the Dragon is a popular name for the hairpin turns on some of the National Park Road--popular with our motorcycle guests or sports car enthusiasts. A trip to the races at Bristol isn't too far, just about an hour and a half from the farm on easy roads.
The sports games at University of Tennessee, football and basketball, track and baseball, swimming meets, plus the music and theatre events at the Clarence Brown theatre combine nature loving and city loving all in the same weekend. Of course, our Knoxville "Do the Zoo!" is always in style.
Locally, we have Carver's Orchard, apple blossoms in spring and wonderful fall apples, 5 wineries open for tasting on an east Tennessee winery tour, locally made quilts and other crafts, bluegrass and old-time music at The Front Porch, just across the street, a restaurant known for live music and great food.
Hot air ballooning is fun and can be arranged over the mountains, depending on weather. Horseback riding is always fun up into the mountains at the Smoky Mountain Stables.
Concert tickets to Sweet Fanny Adams theatre will bring you home chuckling. The Comedy Barn is fun, too, in Pigeon Forge, and the classic Dixie Stampede is popular for a dinner date.
We also offer 4-course dining at the farm with everything from lobster to filet mignon--your menu is planned with the chef when you make your reservation.
Winterfest is a continuing event through the winter months, and the car shows (Rod Run) are popular if you like old cars, or fast ones. Wilderness Week in Pigeon Forge is an educational winter event. Gatlinburg's spring Wildflower Pilgrimage in April and the Fine Arts Festival benefitting the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in May are popular, too.
