Carthage Bed and Breakfasts
The town of Carthage is located in Smith County and is nearby to Nashville. The town is famous for being the hometown of Vice President Al Gore. Spend some time fishing and swimming down in the Cumberland River or Caney Fork River, also head to the Cordell Hull Lake for aquatic activities. If you happen to be in town in the right season, you can pick your own strawberries, sweet corn, pumpkins, grapes or harvest honey at the U-Pick Farm. Children love picking their own food! Later on take the family to the Smith County Heritage Museum located in an old manufacturing building. Antique shops are open in the downtown area for your shopping pleasure. A Carthage bed and breakfast or Carthage inn are great accommodations during your stay. From your B&B head to Iavilla Restaurant or Brendas Restaurant for some down home cooking.
