See the curve of the River as it winds through the bluffs and prairie hills, cast your line for a trophy walleye, have a day of fun at local powwows, rodeos or festivals in the tiny frontier towns. Unwind in a comfortable B&B after a day of travel across these high plains and prairies.

Discover the gentle rolling hills in eastern South Dakota giving way to sparkling glacial lakes which offer endless fishing opportunities. Feel the quiet of a Bed & Breakfast stay in historic homes or on farm lands once roamed by Plains Indians and settled by pioneers and homesteaders. These farm lands and prairies offer natural habitat for upland game and waterfowl, making this region a hunter’s paradise. Relive Laura Ingalls Wilder’s stories in her surroundings in and around DeSmet and experience the South Dakota Fair in Huron in late August. The Terry Redlin Center in Watertown is now open.
