This large dormitory style room is furnished with a queen bed and set of bunk beds all warmed with comforters and a quilt in the colors of the Icelandic flag. Additional furnishings include oak antiques, a sitting area with TV/VCR and private bath with tub/shower. The beautiful view through a large picture window is to the backyard and forested ridge.

Prices starting at $94 per night for two/$25 per additional person up to 4 people.
 

Denmark Room

Located in the walkout level, this cozy room is furnished with log furniture and antiques.  There is a queen bed, small sitting area and TV/VCR, and private bath with shower.  The view is to the backyard and woods. Guest in the Denmark room are just steps away from the family room, laundry room, sauna and guest kitchen.

Norway Room

Almost every morning provides a breath taking sunrise over the lake from the east windows.  The south window overlooks the backyard and forest ridge.  This suite sized room has a queen-size bed with down bedding, an antique wooden dresser, sofa, rocker and satellite TV/DVD.  This room's two room bathroom has a 5' oval tub/shower.

Sweden Room

Connecting to the balcony overlooking our living room, your view of the south pasture and forest appears through the large windows.  Its own windows look across the front yard and up into the woods. This suite sized retreat is furnished with white painted furniture typical of Swedish decorating.  There are two extra long twin sleigh beds with down bedding that can be separate or pushed together in the European king style. There is a sitting area with sofa, chair and satellite TV/DVD.  The large bathroom has a 5'oval tub/shower.

Finland Room

This quaint room is nestled in the Northwest corner of our home overlooking the barn and west pasture.  The Finnish immigrants built some of the first log cabins in the Black Hills.  It's queen bed, cuddled under the beautiful logs and warmed by a log cabin quilt is the main focus of this cozy hideaway.  This room also has a small sitting area, TV/VCR and private bath with tub/shower.

Prices starting at $94 per night

  • Policies

    • Your reservation will be guaranteed with a deposit of 1/2 of your lodging fee or a minimum of one night's lodging.
    • A refund less a $30 handling fee will be given  if your cancellation is made 14 days prior to arrival.  No refund within 14 days of arrival unless we can re-book the room.
    • Check-in time:  3 PM - 6 PM.  Please call ahead if you need a later check-in.
    • Check-out time: 11 AM.
    • Rates may vary during peak seasons and are subject to change without prior notice.
    • Full country breakfast served in the Scandinavian tradition with each night's lodging.
    • We observe the Scandinavian custom of removing shoes at the front entrance.  We have a large basket of various sizes of slippers or you may bring your own or wear socks.
    • Our accommodations are not suitable for small children or pets.  Well behaved children 12 and over are always welcome.
    • No smoking, except in designated area on the deck.
