Reminisce of days gone by in this stately Georgian manor house. Guests enjoy the library, front porch, cozy side porch, patio, or strolling the gardens to view the ponds. Westminster, South Carolina is a small quaint village nestled in the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near scenic highway 11 and 6 miles from Walhalla.
This elegant Greek Revival style home was built in 1897 by W. Anderson and family. Mr. Anderson founded the first bank of Westminster and there was a guest for lunch in the formal dining room every day.
Restoration of the home was started in 1995. The home has 19 rooms including nine fireplaces, original old glass in windows, high ceilings, sitting porches, library, parlor and formal dining room. The home sits on 3 1/2 acres of manicured grounds and gardens with an ornamental pond and a large pond at the back of the meadow.
Magnolia Manor is a short walk to downtown Westminster, a small quaint southern village providing a glimpse of the past with its train depot, specialty shops, and England's Old General Store.
The home is the private residence of Glenn and Joann Blake who are dedicated to producing some of the finest events in the upcountry including garden weddings, and receptions.

We specialize in all-inclusive wedding & reception packages to take the stress out of planning your special day. Our 3000 sq ft banquet hall with attached 30' x 70’ patio can accommodate receptions up to 250 people. The hall offers a bar, fireplace, dance floor and French doors to the patio, which is tented from March through November. Our chef delights all with his beautiful displays and delicious food. Descend the white staircase to the formal garden where a large arbor is the perfect ceremony backdrop -- or choose the patio with its view – or the meadow! You will find the perfect setting here!
We also offer small packages for a romantic, beautiful wedding. Indoor sites such as the parlor, library, or the chapel area are available depending on the size of your wedding. We offer an intimate service followed by a special dinner, wedding cake and champagne toast; also available is a honeymoon for one night in our Magnolia Suite with king canopied bed, jacuzzi tub & fireplace, and a wine and cheese tray for the room!
We have packages that can include a photographer, videographer, DJ, on-site catering of finger foods, buffets or plated dinners, wedding cake, cake service and beer and wine! We offer additional vendors and services for bridal lunches, rehearsal dinners, horse & carriages, limousines or dove releases. Our coordinators can offer services to include a local church service, and can plan your event for the weekend or one day. Our guest rooms offer convenient, elegant rooms for guests or the wedding party. We do it all!
Our deluxe all inclusive facility package includes the formal gardens, 3000 sf reception hall, all tables and chairs, your choice of table linens and centerpieces, china, silver chafing dishes, registry and portrait stands, and the 30'x70' tented patio -- all for 6 hours! Rehearsal time and a dressing room for bride & bridesmaids is also included! This package includes our DJ for 4 hours, photographer with 200+ prints and a keepsake wedding album, videography team with two DVDs, parking attendant, wedding planner and a director! The only vendors not included are the officiate and florist as they are not always needed by each couple. It is a wonderful, complete package priced very affordably.
Depending on the food package selected from all the options available (which is a per person price), a beautiful wedding with a ceremony under the arbor in the garden, followed by a wonderful reception with a delicious food buffet for 100 guests where they can enjoy the hall and adjoining tented patio would cost approximately $7,000 (depending on current specials or discounts). A great price when you consider what photography, videography and DJ prices alone can be! We can offer such wonderful packages because we are a family business with a great team of vendors!
