  • Introduction

Come and experience a home of breathtaking beauty and majestic artistry. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Rosemary Hall is now an inn that aspires to pamper its guests in a peaceful atmosphere of elegance and romance. Relax on the sweeping veranda boasting 12 stately columns. Soak up the sun as you sink into a cozy Pawleys Island hammock made for two. Step inside to the Lady’s Parlor wherein a baby grand piano plays as you enjoy your afternoon tea.  The morning invites you to sip hot, fresh coffee while enjoying the surrounding nature.

Nestled behind a 100-year-old magnolia tree and surrounded by manicured grounds, the Southern mansion exudes timeless elegance. Impressive decorative architecture, lavish woodwork, original oil paintings and bronze statues combine to simultaneously enchant and comfort the visitor both inside and outside the house.

The Gentleman’s Parlor is a wonderful place to read the paper in solitude or to enjoy one of the many books available. Let Mr. Jackson’s smoking parlor entertain you, just as he, on many occasions, entertained his guests.  This grand parlor is a room full of history and intrigue where Mr. Jackson entertained many prominent figures such as Marshall Fields, President Taft, Harvey Firestone, John D. Rockefeller, Henry Ford, and Robert Lincoln just to name a few. The spot where gentlemen of yesteryear once enjoyed a game of poker, smoked a cigar and discussed politics is the same place that today’s guests enjoy an intimate breakfast, a quiet game of cards or idle reflection.

The Entertainment Room with its expansive bay window beckoning the morning sunshine and its large comfy velveteen sectional contains a large flat-screen television, public computer, extensive DVD library of classic features and a variety of board games – providing relaxing pastime for all.

The Innkeepers at Rosemary continue the rich heritage of Southern hospitality.  Each guest starts every day at Rosemary with a hardy, gourmet breakfast served in your choice of the exquisite Breakfast Parlor, Women’s Parlor, Gentleman’s Parlor, veranda or delivered to your room. True to its heritage, breakfast is properly served on fine china with crystal stemware, silver, and linens. Grace, elegance, and hospitality are the benchmark of this venerable place called Rosemary Inn.
