The original master bedroom of the house, this guest room is the only one on the first floor of the Inn. It features a king size bed in front of a 12' x 8' wall of windows with the original working shutters from 1902. His and hers richly appointed occasional chairs by the working fireplace face a country French armoire which serves as an entertainment center.

The 11' x 13' bathroom is a retreat unto itself with beadboard wainscoating and extensive use of tile. Amenities include the original clawfoot soaking tub with bubble bath, bath salts and gels, a separate glassed shower, oversized sink area and a makeup table and chair. The only thing you need is to reach for your warm towel from the heated towel rack.

The Green Room is an expansive room at the front of the house featuring ten foot, six panel Paladian window with original plantation shutters. Bright and airy with light green walls, the room is decorated in white accents and old world furniture.

The Yellow Room is an expansive room at the front of the house featuring ten foot, six panel Paladian window with original plantation shutters. The pale yellow walls and brocade bedspreads of deep burgundy enhance this large, inviting room. The detail on the fireplace design is reminiscent of a string of pearls.

The only interior room on the second floor, the deep blue walls make this room cozy and inviting. A bold, bright watercolor dominates the wall over the hand carved mantel piece.

The Russian nesting dolls on the mantel were a gift from a guest from Moscow.

A dark hunter green, this spacious room features a canopied king bed with luxurious drapes framing a massive headboard. Double sconce lights at the headboard make reading in bed a special pleasure. A cozy sofa at the foot of the bed faces a working black marble fireplace. Oversized French doors open to reveal the side gardens. Separate seating and working desk areas make this a most comfortable room.

RESERVATIONS: A credit card number or one night deposit is required to secure reservation. If you must cancel, kindly do so promptly. If cancellation is not received 3 days in advance, Abingdon Manor does charge for one night at the daily rate. A minimum stay may be required for holidays and special events.

CHECK IN AND OUT TIMES: Check in is 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and check out is 11 a.m. Please let us know if special arrangements are necessary.

PAYMENT: Visa, American Express, Discover and MasterCard, personal and travelers checks.

SMOKING: Allowed on all porches and verandahs as well as the gardens. Due to insurance and historic preservation regulations smoking inside the Inn is not permitted.

TAXES: Sales tax of 9% and accommodations tax of 3% are applicable to all room rates.

CHILDREN AND PETS: We are unable to accommodate children under 10 unless by special arrangement. Pets are not allowed in guest rooms. Boarding within 1 mile may be arranged for $20 per night.
