Established in 1718 on the banks of the Black River in historic Georgetown, South Carolina. Mansfield Plantation is widely recognized as one of the most well preserved antebellum rice plantations in the United States.

Our newly renovated suites are located in three guest houses on the property. Each room has its own unique character — choose one that fits you best! All are within short walking distance from each other and from the Main House. Follow the links below to explore all nine rooms.

School House

Originally built circa 1840 for the Parker family children, the School House is located directly to the left of the main house. Along with a beautiful front rocking porch, you will find two guest rooms that are guaranteed to teach you a thing or two about rest and relaxation.

Old Kitchen House

Built circa 1800, the Old Kitchen was constructed away from the main house as a fire precaution. Today, three exquisite guest rooms named Izard, Simons and Parker can be found inside. Each room has a private entrance and bathroom, and all overlook the marsh and Cypress swamp.

North Guest House

Built circa 1930 as a guest house for large gatherings and hunting groups, the North Guest House is the largest of the three guest houses; home to four beautiful suites, each with their own historical significance.

PRIVATE EVENTS

Thank you for your interest in Mansfield Plantation. The plantation grounds are available for your private event, including reunions, parties and retreats. RENT THE ENTIRE PLANTATION GROUNDS FOR 2 DAYS    $7,750 + tax.
Includes use of the plantation grounds (excluding the main house) for 2 days and rental of all 9 guest suites for 2 nights. Arrival time is 4:00pm day 1, overnight accommodations day 1, all-day use of grounds day 2, overnight accommodations day 2, checkout 11am day 3. Check-in and check-out times are not flexible. Please contact us if you would like to rent the plantation for more than 2 days.

***We are no longer renting the plantation grounds for wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions, but we would like to invite you and your guests to stay at our historic bed and breakfast.

AFTERNOON TEA & TOURS

Anyone can enjoy an elegant afternoon tea and plantation grounds tour at Mansfield Plantation.

Plantation Tour Only
Visitors will be given a personalized tour of the plantation grounds and plantation home. Cost is $12.50 per person + tax for groups of 15 or more. Smaller groups are welcome, but the minimum charge is $187.50 + tax.

Plantation Tour & Afternoon Tea
Visitors will be given a personalized tour of the plantation grounds and plantation home, which culminates in an elegant afternoon tea, including three teas, lavender cake, traditional English finger sandwiches, fresh pastries and fresh fruit. Cost is $17.50 per person + tax for groups of 15 or more. Smaller groups are welcome, but the minimum charge is $262.50 + tax.

** Out of respect for our overnight guests, we kindly request that you refrain from exploring the plantation unscheduled. We limit the number of people on the property at any given time in order to preserve the peacefulness of this one-of-a-kind property.

BUSINESS RETREATS

A perfect retreat venue, with large meeting rooms, plenty of overnight accomodations, and special rates for large parties. The large plantation grounds can be used for quiet refuge, team-building activities, and exercise.
