Located just ten miles from historic Charleston, Water's Edge Inn at Folly Beach offers a truly unique experience. Nestled on the scenic marsh, this totally new property is like no other in the area.Nine beautifully appointed guest rooms feature fireplaces, heavenly queen-size beds, Egyptian cotton sheets and down comforters, plasma flat screen televisions, clock radios with iPod ports, and both wireless telephone and internet. Individual refrigerators with complementary bottled water and other beverages of your choice including coffee makers, tailor your room to your individual wishes.
Awaken to the smell of fresh brewed coffee and a hearty continental breakfast buffet served from 8 to 10 am daily.
The pristine beaches of the Atlantic Ocean are only four short blocks away and guests are welcome to use either our bicycles or our shuttle service for quick and easy access. Feel free to wrap yourself in luxurious robes we provide for you and enjoy the relaxation of our large, outdoor hot tub overlooking the marsh.
Complimentary cocktails and light hors d'oeuvres are available daily from 4 to 6 pm.

What are you best known for?
We are known for our heavenly beds, exceptional hospitality, and homey location.
What makes your inn unique?
We are the only one of our kind on Folly Beach, and we have a signature drink, our world famous Folly Punch.
What do you love most about your inn?
I love the Inn because it is homey and elegant without being overly pretentious, perfect for Folly.
If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit? Other than the beach, Charleston is a great city for food and history!
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn? We get so many great compliments; it’s hard to pick one!
What’s the best kept secret about the area? Sunset Cay: the best sunset on Folly and a restaurant with a 270 degree view of the ocean.
If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area? Relax! Go to the beach, go to Sunset Cay and see an amazing sunset, go to one of the plantations, downtown Charleston for the homes and city market. Eat and be merry!
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn? The beach, local shops, and restaurants!
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area? I love the Wich Doctor, it’s small and unique, plus the food is out of this world!
Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference? The Charleston city paper has great event information, as well as Charlestoncvb.com!
How many rooms does your inn have? We now have nine rooms; The Regatta (our newest) just opened in April!
Do you accept pets? We do not usually except pets, but the Tides hotel at the very end of Folly Beach does, so normally we recommend that property; which is also right on the beach!
