HarbourView Inn Surrounded by History and Fantastic Views
300 years of history and unparalleled service collide in Charleston's celebrated HarbourView Inn.
On the Charleston waterfront, the HarbourView Inn is merely steps away from Charleston, South Carolina's eight acre Waterfront Park. The famous fountains, the swings on the pier, and the intimate garden "rooms" add to the allure of a Charleston romantic getaway. This downtown Charleston inn overlooks the harbor, which is located in the heart of the Charleston historic district with a view of the USS Yorktown and the Ravenel Bridge.
Experience centuries old architecture in a walk or horse drawn carriage ride through downtown Charleston. Admire the iconic South of Broad neighborhoods such as the multicolored house of Rainbow Row and the lovely gardens. Visit Charleston historic sites including The Battery, which features a bandstand, multiple memorial monuments and artillery from the Civil War. The HarbourView Inn also offers a complementary skyline tour on Wednesdays on the rooftop terrace.
Make your Charleston family vacation memorable with a trip to the Charleston City Market where artisans weave traditional sweet grass baskets and sell other artisanal items, art, delicious goodies, and souvenirs to always remind you of Charleston.
The HarbourView Inn will keep your hunger satisfied with flavored iced teas and snacks available all day, coffee brewing 24 hours, a wine and cheese reception in the afternoon, and cookies and milk each evening.
Enjoy unparalleled service and signature amenities from this AAA Four-Diamond and Condé Nast "Gold List Award" luxury hotel. Panoramic views, vast atriums and beautifully appointed guest rooms - some with private balconies, working fireplaces, and whirlpool tubs - await your arrival. From the moment you enter this Charleston historic district hotel, you will find modern features and services, old world charm and unpretentious Southern hospitality. The waterfront and atrium lobbies are reminiscent of Charleston's early years as a colonial nautical trading hub. They offer the perfect setting for idle reflection, a glass of wine or just the refined sport of people watching.
Surrounded by over three hundred years of history, the HarbourView Inn’s neighbors include Charleston’s world-renowned restaurants and blocks of celebrated antique shops, boutiques and galleries. From the Inn, easily explore the charm, beauty and grace of Historic Charleston by foot or on horse-drawn carriage tour. Meander to Charleston's iconic and newly-renovated City Market or to the famed Rainbow Row and historic Battery through the famous South of Broad neighborhood, just steps from the harbor-front location of the Inn.
