  • Introduction

    Experience Edgewood Manor, the most luxurious Providence bed and breakfast. This historic Greek Revival Mansion, circa 1905, is elegantly appointed with exquisite antiques and fabulous artwork. Our Rhode Island B&B offers beautiful bedrooms, magnificent sitting rooms, and lovely gardens.

    Next door is The Charles Newhall House, circa 1892, a wonderful shingled style Victorian which has been lovingly restored with seven beautiful guestrooms, all decorated with Victorian and Empire furnishings.

    In 1905, Samuel Priest, a wealthy businessman, commissioned this three story Greek Revival Mansion. Acquired in 1994 and restored to its original grandeur, this 18-room mansion boasts of five ornate fireplaces and stunning leaded and stained-glass windows.

    Guestrooms and common areas are superbly furnished with period antiques and fine art. Each guestroom offers a private bath, cable television and free Wireless Internet access. Rooms with fireplaces and lavish whirlpool tubs are also available.

The Providence and Newport, RI areas are privy to some of the finest restaurants in New England.

    Louis 14th Style room is an available sitting room for our guests to relax and read or congregate and boasts of a magnificent domed ceiling intricately carved and pilastered with gilt highlights.

    Edgewood Manor, with its historic Greek Revival Mansion, is the perfect backdrop for a Rhode Island wedding. Every room of our luxurious bed and breakfast exudes romance and can host a variety of weddings and receptions. You may want an intimate ceremony surrounded by the antiques, fine art, and stained glass of the main house. Perhaps you have dreamed of sharing the big day with a reception for family and friends.

    Edgewood Manor seating capacity during the winter months is 60 people and in the summer time 90, which includes outside and inside seating. We also provide meeting space for rehearsal dinners, showers, parties, fundraisers, special high tea's and corporate functions.

    After the festivities, choose one of our lavishly decorated rooms with a fireplace and whirlpool tub in Edgewood Manor or Newhall House for a romantic honeymoon. Have breakfast in one of the two dining rooms or the patio. Should you decide to take in the local sights, our Providence location is rich in history for you to explore.

    It isn’t Venice, but you can take a gondola ride on the Providence River. A complimentary basket of cheese and crackers and an ice bucket and glasses are provided.
