Your stay at The Frederick Stegmaier Mansion begins as you indulge yourself in the luxurious surroundings of one of our gracious guest rooms or suites. A night at the Mansion is truly a unique and unparalleled experience. You will come to discover the only event that can rival your evening is a sumptuous gourmet breakfast served in our elaborate formal dining room the following morning. Afterward, we invite you to delight in our "Grande Coffee Bar" and relax under the trees on the rear patio, or enjoy a newspaper in the morning room as sunlight glistens through the stained glass backdrop. Your choices are many to simply lounge the day away inside the Mansion. Marvel at the extensive art collection throughout the winding halls and rooms, play the concert grand piano so readily available in the Ladies' Parlor, or curl up with your favorite book in front of the fireplace in the Gentleman's Parlor.
The Stegmaier Mansion is perfectly situated in the heart of the River Street Historic District of Luzerne County and easy walking distance to athletic club facilities, downtown shopping, movies and dining. With Wilkes University and Kings College as bookends, the Mansion is the perfect destination for visiting parents, or the ultimate sojourn for those who wish to escape the hustle and bustle of our modern world. The Gold Medal Room
Our rates include lodging, continental breakfast, and all day "Grand Coffee Bar". Gourmet breakfast is served in the formal dining room at an additional charge. Room service breakfast is available in some cases and must be arranged on the preceding evening by 9 pm. All rates are based on double occupancy. Some units can accommodate a third occupant at a rate of $35 per night plus applicable taxes. Weekday rates (non-holiday Sunday through Thursday) are as follows:
- Rooms...$125 to $170
- Suites....$195 to $245
Weekend rates (non-holiday Friday and Saturday) are as follows:
- Rooms...$145 to $195
- Suites....$225 to $275

- Our Deluxe Suites and Rooms are available nightly or weekly.
- Please inquire for details concerning our packages and special weekends.
- On certain weekends during May through October and Holidays, The Stegmaier Mansion institutes a two night policy.
- Guests are invited to reserve either Friday and Saturday nights or Saturday and Sunday nights. Saturday-night-only stays are sold on an "availability" basis prior to arrival.
- All prices are subject to change without notice.
- Check-in time is 3 p.m. Checkout time is 11 a.m. Late check-out is available in some cases at an additional charge.
- Please budget 6% for Pennsylvania sales tax and 5% for Luzerne County lodging tax.
- Our cancellation policy is 2 weeks prior to arrival. If you cancel within this period and we are able to resell your room, you will not be charged. If you must cancel, for your records, please follow up in writing stating the day, date, and person with whom you canceled your reservation.
- Well-behaved, young adults 12 years of age and older are welcome, but regretfully, we cannot accommodate pets.
- All rooms and suites have televisions, DVD players, and private telephones.
- Wireless Internet access is available throughout the mansion.
- Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the Mansion. If you wish to smoke, you may do so outside in designated areas where appropriate ash receptacles are located.
