Most people here are looking for a unique experience that is close to a piece of American history.
What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?
We are best known for our exceptional service and creating a very personal stay. Our hotel is unique because it was once the actual home of a revolutionary. What I love best about the hotel is having friendly conversations with the guests.
If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?
Visit any of the museums here in Philly. There are so many to choose from. Many are about art, many are about science, and there is a ton of history to explore.
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?
The quality of service, the close proximity to museums and the Convention center, and the warm, home-like quality of the hotel.
What’s the best kept secret about the area?
Well it won’t be a secret anymore. :-)
If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?
Day 1: Explore the history of Philadelphia. Visit the Liberty Bell, the Betsy Ross House, The Benjamin Franklin Museum, or Independence Hall, the site of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Day2: Explore the Arts here in Philly. you can visit the Barne’s Foundation, the Rodin Museum, the Pearleman Museum. You could triumphantly run up the “Rocky steps” to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Then you can spend the afternoon, enjoying the sites and sounds, on the Fairmount Park Lawn.
Day 3: Celebrate scientific achievement by visiting the Franklin Institute and the Academy of Natural Sciences. Then Finish the evening with live music, or theater. (Something to juxtapose science)
Day 4: Spend a day in authentic Philly. Go shopping at the reading terminal market for lunch, Chinatown for Dinner and more.
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?
The beautiful Washington Square garden, with the tomb of the unknown soldier, is just around the corner, and one more block away is Independence Hall. Beyond that are more historical sites and museums.
