Cornerstone Bed & Breakfast

Beautifully maintained and coupled with a king bed that can be split into two four-poster twin beds-an excellent choice for friends traveling together or a parent traveling with an older child. The room comes equipped with a large TV, en suite bathroom, walk-in shower, and workstation.

Decorated in blues and browns, this bright, corner room has a queen bed, TV and a spectacular detached private bathroom with original turn-of-the-century tile, stained glass windows and a tub and shower combination. Old Ben would be proud of this beautiful second floor guest room.

The Furness Room, located on the second floor and off the street, is elegantly decorated in terra cotta. The Eastlake style antique queen bed and oriental carpet make this room warm and cozy. And, let's not forget TV and the en suite private bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Decorated in Wedgewood Blue the newly renovated University Suite is a charming and cozy room. Located on the second floor, this spacious room is divided into two. The main bedroom features a queen sized bed and the large bay window provide a lovely office space. The living room is equipped with a queen size sleep sofa, beautiful oriental carpet, decorative fireplace, and large TV. The sizable en suite bathroom off of the living room includes a shower and tub combination. This light and bright suite is perfect for business people or small families.

A two bedroom suite with a sitting room is located on the third floor. This is our most spacious suite and is perfect for friends traveling together or a family traveling with children.

The larger bedroom, with a soothing floral theme, has a queen bed and the smaller adjoining bedroom has a double bed. Both bedrooms share a sitting room with a television and guest refrigerator. The large bathroom with skylight has a large jetted tub, separate, walk-in shower and double sinks. This suite is truly special.

In the morning, guests enjoy breakfast at our large dining room table in front of the fireplace. Enjoy a conversation with other guests or read the newspaper. And, don't forget to look up at our magnificent reproduction Victorian ceiling. During the week, a continental breakfast is served from 7:15 AM to 8:30 AM. On weekends, a full breakfast is served from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM. At check–in, you may request breakfast to go.

Relax, and sip a hot cup of tea or coffee in comfort. Browse through our various newspapers that our delivered daily or work on your laptop. This cozy and elegant room is meant to be enjoyed.

• All rates are quoted as double occupancy. Maximum occupancy for the Furness, Franklin, Basilica and Fairmount is 2 guests, the University Suite is 4 guests; The Continental Suite sleeps 4 guests.
• There is a $30 charge per person for the 3rd and 4th guests in suites.
• You may make reservations on-line or call us. We do not make reservations using e-mail.
• One half of your reservation amount or one night (which ever is greater) is charged to your credit card at the time of your reservation.
• September through December and special events require a 2 night minimum stay on weekends.
• Check-In is from 3:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Early Check-In is available by request at the time of reservation. Your room/suite will be guaranteed by 1:30 PM. A $20 Charge plus Tax will apply to your credit card at the time of reservation.
• There are no refunds for early Check-In requests regardless of the time you arrive. This fee covers extra hours for housekeeping.
• If you need to arrive after 10 PM, please contact us to make arrangements.
• Check-Out time is 11 AM. However, you may store your luggage on the day of check-out without charge until 5 PM. After 5 PM, there is a $25 storage charge.
• If you must CANCEL or SHORTEN your stay, please let us know at least 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival date. A $35 rebooking fee applies to all cancellations.
• If you fail to cancel, or cancel within 7 days of your reservation, you will be charged for the entire reservation including Tax.
• Children are a special kind of guest. Please call ahead to make sure we can accommodate their needs.
• We are a NON-SMOKING inn. However, smoking is permitted outside on the wrap around porch and in the garden.
• Please read and abide by all Parking signs. Philadelphia has an excellent public transportation system and Cornerstone is ideally located for you to use all forms of public transportation including Amtrak, buses, trolleys and subways.
