    The rooms at our Chautauqua Wine Country bed and breakfast are each fittingly named for a local variety of grapes. All of our guest rooms have private baths, color television and access to a wireless Internet connection. The rooms are air-conditioned in the summer months. There are VCR players in the rooms and combination VCR/DVD players in the suites, along with CD players, comforters, antique/reproduction furnishings and fine toiletries. Wireless Internet access is also available in all rooms. Enhanced amenities, such as Jacuzzi tubs, fireplaces, and kitchen facilities are available in select rooms. Come to Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast and enjoy Lake Erie lodging at its best.

    The Cabernet Suite

    Hampson Home (circa 1835)

    There are four suites in this building, two upstairs and two downstairs. They are each fully equipped with individual refrigerators stocked with bottled water, fruit juice and sodas, as well as coffee/tea setups. Wine glasses and bottle openers are available for your convenience.

    The Cabernet Suite is on the first floor, with a private entrance through a side porch. This spacious suite delights the eye with a large private sitting room with built in shelving, a comfortable rocker, couch, and a loveseat in complementary colonial gold and burgundy tones. Step into the large bedroom and your eyes will wander from the unique built-in corner gas fireplace to the three bay windows with seating area, and a built-in desk - perfect to quickly catch up with your e-mail. The king-size bed, with art deco style head and footboard, is outfitted with a featherbed and fluffy pillows. The piece de resistance is the large bathroom with a two person Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The walls have been lovingly glazed with soft green stripes and coordinating tile.     The Chancellor Suite

    The Chancellor Suite is in the front of the house on the first floor, accessed through the front door. The master suite is appointed with a queen-size oak bed, marble fireplace and is decorated in shades of gold, white, and black. There is a one-way viewing panel that allows a peak into the construction of the unique, handcrafted circular staircase. The large private parlor glows in the evening with the light of the reproduction coal burning fireplace. The walls are decorated with antique piano panels, and there is plenty of room to stretch out and relax with a full-sized sofa, armchair with ottoman, and a writing desk. All of the rooms sport oak hardwood floors. The oversized bathroom houses a corner shower as well as a large, stuffed, chenille chair. Weekdays: $130; Weekends and Holidays: $150.

    The Riesling Suite: Upstairs is the home of the Riesling Suite, accessed by the circular staircase. Enter into your private parlor with roll-top writing desk, and comfortable seating. The décor is burgundy and navy with framed postcards and prints from the owners’ travels in Germany. The large bedroom is accessed down a private hallway and is decorated with a hand-painted French chest, and a king size brass bed in soothing mossy tones of green. Across the private hall from the bedroom is the oversized bath with a Jacuzzi tub/shower combination, pedestal sink, and hardwood floor. $130 - $150

    The Merlot Suite: The other second floor room is the Merlot Suite, which is accessed through a private entrance on the side porch. Your private staircase brings you into a roomy haven. The large bedroom has a king-size bed with distressed brass head and footboard, an antique chest, and comfortable reclining chair. Framed photos taken by the owners and décor in soft blues and taupes enhance the relaxing mood of this suite. Soak in the marble-tiled tub in the large bathroom across the private hallway from your bedroom. There is plenty of storage space. A full-sized kitchen completes the suite, with a table ready for a private meal or a game of cards. Both a stove and microwave are provided, along with a refrigerator and freezer.     The Isabella Room

    Bester Town Home (Circa 1832)

    There are four rooms in the Bester Town House, all with private baths. Breakfast is served here, and there are several common rooms for you to relax and congregate. There is a guest refrigerator on the first floor, stocked with complimentary beverages, and a bountiful cookie jar kept stocked with home-baked treats. There
    are two coffee stations, one located in the dining room, and another in the upstairs lobby where guests may always get a cup of freshly-made coffee or tea. The upstairs station also has a small microwave for guest use. All rooms have televisions, VCRs, telephones, and access to wireless Internet.

    The Isabella Room was the master suite of the Town home in the late 1800s. In the 1920s, this room served as North East’s first kindergarten, taught by Mrs. Maidee Olson. Isabella is named after the original grapes that grew on the arbors over 100 years ago.

    Today, the Isabella is decorated in burgundy jewel tones, with a king-size brass bed. There is a thermostat-controlled gas fireplace for the winter and a lazy ceiling fan for the summer. There is an additional private exterior entrance onto a common patio.

    The private bathroom has both a full-sized tub and shower. This is the only guest room on the first floor of the Town home. All other rooms are on the second floor, accessed through the circular staircase. Weekdays: $110 Weekends and Holidays: $125.

    The Concord Room

    The Concord Room is spacious, light, and airy. The room has an elevated queen-size four-poster bed facing a fireplace with a matching cherry mantel. There is a comfortable seating area around the fireplace and a large hand-painted armoire for storage.

    The room is decorated in shades of lavender, blue, and green, creating a garden-like atmosphere. The attached bathroom has a shower, but no bathtub.

    Weekdays: 4/1 - 9/30 - $95; 10/1 - 3/31 - $105
    Weekends and Holidays: 4/1 - 9/30 - $110; 10/1 - 3/31 - $125

    The Steuben Suite is furnished with Eastlake furniture, circa 1870. Decorated in soft greens and burgundy, the elegant bedroom has a double bed with an oversized headboard. There is a separate sitting/bedroom with a cherry-wood daybed, perfect for reading or relaxing. The large main bathroom, accessed through a private hallway, has a full-sized tub and shower combo and several built-in cabinets for storage. There is a half bath accessed directly from the main bedroom. $105 - $125

    Policies:

    • Reservations may be held with a credit card. One night's deposit or ½ the cost of the stay, whichever is greater, is required at the time of making the reservation. Deposit will be refunded if cancellation is received 7 days prior to arrival. If it is necessary to cancel within the seven days, a service charge of $20 will be automatically applied to your account and your deposit will be applied to a future stay, valid one year from cancellation date (dates subject to availability).
    • There are NO REFUNDS on special or holiday weekends, unless we can re-book your room. Cancellation service charge applies and we ask that you please consider re-booking. Confirmation of reservation will be by return mail. Visa, MasterCard and Discover accepted.
    • We also, upon notification, reserve the right to charge your credit card for any room damages sustained during your visit.
    • Check-in is 3pm to 6 PM. Arriving guests should enter through the Sun Porch Door (rear of Bed & Breakfast). If a special check-in time is needed, please contact the Innkeeper in advance.
    • Check out time is 11am. A charge may be assessed for late check out, unless arrangements are made in advance.
    • Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast is a no-smoking facility. Smoking is permitted outside the Bed & Breakfast only.
    • Each guestroom has a private telephone with voice mail capabilities and data ports for easy Internet access. Local/toll free calls may be made without charge. Pre-paid phone cards are available for purchase from the Innkeepers.
    • The Grape Arbor Bed & Breakfast cannot accommodate pets. For those with allergies, please be advised that there are cats living at 51 East Main.
    • Accommodations are not designed for small children
    • Gift certificates from the Grape Arbor Bed & Breakfast are a wonderful way to remember special occasions. Gift certificates can be purchased in any amount, and can be used throughout the year.
