Country Rock & Rewind Festival, Hersheypark Stadium 28 May 2015, 7:00 am

Summer music festivals are great entertainment and great value for the money…and this one is no exception! Big names in both country and rock genres are set to appear and all in one venue.

So far, the lineup for the festival is pretty impressive..Grand Ole Opry members, multiple winners of ACM, CMA and CMT Awards, the Rascal Flatts trio will be headlining along with…actor (General Hospital’s Dr. Noah Drake) and singer-songwriter of “Jessie’s Girl”, Rick Springfield…Detroit pop-rockers of “What I like About You” and “Talking In Your Sleep” fame, The Romantics…and songbird Ashley Monroe, who achieved critical acclaim for her 2013 hit “Like A Rose”. Sure to be a nice mix of country and rock.

If you haven’t been to Hersheypark Stadium, we think it is one of the nicest outdoor venues we’ve seen. High up on the hill beyond the stage is a spectacular view of the Hershey Hotel and Gardens. Behind one of the grandstands you can see some of the tallest rides at Hersheypark. Also nice to know, the Hersheypark Event Special is in effect. What does that mean? Present your concert ticket at the Hersheypark Ticketing Services Building the day before, day of, or day after a concert to receive discounted admission!

Train Picasso At The Wheel Tour 11 May 2015, 7:00 am

Twenty years and still going strong…and that is Train. The San Francisco natives are definitely doing something so right.

Picasso At The Wheel is making a stop at Hersheypark Stadium in June and will be joined for the evening by The Fray and Matt Nathanson.

The multi-platinum group had its start in the early 90’s and slowly built a very loyal following with hits like the Grammy award winning Hey Soul Sister, #1 hit and most downloaded single of 2010 from their multi-platinum album Save Me, San Francisco. Their first successful radio hit was Meet Virginia…from there it was on to 2001’s Drops of Jupiter which reached multi-platinum status and a double Grammy win for the single by the same name.

In a world full of bad news, it’s always nice to hear about nice good things happening. A nice bit of news….Train’s award-winning Save Me, San Francisco Wine Co. has recently released their 6th varietal, ‘Bulletproof Picasso’ sauvignon blanc. Proceeds from the wine support Family House, a San Francisco charity that supports families of children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Very nice.

Tesla Car Charging Station..Now at the 1825 Inn 4 May 2015, 7:00 am

Tesla Supercharger

In this ever-changing world of energy consciousness, we are pleased to now be able to offer this charging service at the Inn…With the addition of the Supercharger, people traveling through the Hershey area will have the opportunity to locate our station by GPS so they can plan their trip accordingly and know exactly where on our property it is located.

What it is…a charger designed to deliver up to 50% battery capacity to the Model S Tesla in approximately 20 minutes. (and where a gas internal combustion engine has hundreds of moving parts, Tesla electric motors have just one moving piece…the rotor).

How it works…simply plug your car into a charging station…go have a cup of coffee or lunch, and you’re ready to move on to your next destination. Superchargers are composed of multiple chargers for the Model S, working in unison to deliver up to 120 kVV of direct current (DC) right to the battery.

Where to find Supercharger stations…presently the best way to find stations is via the website which has a Supercharger map. As the popularity has increased, more stations are being added continually. Stations can be found in the United States, Europe and Asia.

To find out a lot more information and where stations are located, please visit the Tesla  website

Daniel Tosh Live! at Hershey Theatre 30 Apr 2015, 6:13 am

To say Daniel’s dance card is full would be an understatement…

He was born in Boppard, Rhineland-Palatinate..the son of a preacher…and grew up in Titusville, Florida. He graduated from University of Central Florida with a degree in marketing, probably a smart move for the future he never anticipated…selling himself as an unusual comedic wit. He attributes his move to comedy to living in Florida which he jokingly refers to as ” flat, hot and dumb”.

Daniel wears many hats these days…comedian, actor, television host, writer and executive producer…and can be found hosting Comedy Central’s Tosh O. He has appeared with the big guys (David Letterman, Jay Leno, Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel) on network television, making his debut on The Late Show with David Letterman. He recently shot his fourth television project for MTV Networks and a comedy pilot for Turner Television entitled Short Flix. He unabashedly proclaims stand up comedy his first passion until, as he puts it, “gets a tv show that doesn’t fail”.

Be sure to visit his website and check out his Facebook page.

NOTE: This show contains mature language and content.
