The Beechmont Inn

A center room on the second floor, Applewood is a newly created two-room suite on the second floor.  The bath now features a custom jetted shower and double sinks, and the sitting room has a TV, gas logs, and comfortable sofa and wing-back chair for conversation.  There is also a porch just outside the sitting room that overlooks the 150-year -old magnolia tree and gardens. Done in soothing blue and green colors, the bed is queen size.

Maximum occupancy is two.  $154 per night.

The queen-sized pencil post bed is a favorite with guests, and the bath, renovated in March 2008, is sure to please. Turn on the air jets of the new tub and surrender to the sensation of a blanket of bubbles. Or, enjoy a luxurious custom shower with body jets and sprays.

Your Pennsylvania weekend getaway will be so filled with sightseeing opportunities and thoughtful bed and breakfast amenities, it will be difficult to choose between them. Garden Gate is perfect for those who welcome seclusion on their Pennsylvania romantic vacation or Gettysburg area honeymoon. It has a private entrance off the garden and small sitting room with settee and comfortable club chair. The closet stows a small in-room refrigerator and wineglasses. The room is done in warm shades of salmon and sage with a beautiful English needlepoint on the wall. Modern gas logs in an old-fashioned cast iron stove create a warm glow just across from the queen-sized bed. More than one guest has returned home to install a jetted shower like the one you'll find in Garden Gate - sure to calm frazzled nerves.

Magnolia is an expansive room on the first floor of The Beechmont, our Gettysburg, Pennsylvania bed and breakfast, stretching from the front to the back of the inn. A marble fireplace with gas logs is its centerpiece. There are wingback chairs for comfort and conversation and a four-poster canopy queen-sized bed. The bathroom, new in March 2008, features a luxurious custom shower with body jets and sprays. It's big enough for two! Wineglasses, television with cable, and clock radio/CD player are provided for your enjoyment.

The Beechmont is such a pleasant alternative to a Gettysburg luxury hotel. We think you will ask for this special room again and again.

• Ten days' notice is required for a cancellation. The deposit, less a $20 administrative fee, is refunded if the reservation is cancelled in time. If the reservation is not cancelled in time, the deposit, less a $20 administrative fee, is refunded only if the room is rebooked.
• Check-in time is 3-8 p.m. and check-out time is 11 a.m.
• Guest parking is available in the rear of the inn. Park and take the sidewalk to the right to the porch with the wicker furniture and welcome sign.
