Why save romance for only one or two days of the year? You'll find a dozen roses in a vase to take home, silk rose petals sprinkled in your bed, your choice of a bottle of champagne, red or white wine, or sparkling cider with two souvenir Hamanassett champagne glasses, a mood setting CD, and a box of Swiss truffles made locally in Chester County. All this for only $95.00 plus 6% tax in addition to the room rate. Please give us at least 48 hours notice. We can also customize packages for you or offer any one or combination of the above on an "ala carte" menu. If you can dream it, we'll try to make it a reality.

Wine Tour of Brandywine Valley

Lush leafy vineyards, barrel filled cellars, charming tasting rooms, and world class wines await you in the rolling hills and scenic countryside of the Brandywine Valley. With a two night stay at our Bed and Breakfast, you can purchase a Wine Trail passport from your hosts and explore seven wineries. The cost is only $20.00 per person (an $84.00 value) in addition to the cost of your room and includes your passport and two souvenir wine glasses to take home. These family operated vineyards and wineries are diverse in size and style but united by a desire to make brilliant and distinct wines that reflect the unique characteristics of the Brandywine Valley. The wineries include: Twin Brook Winery -2/3 classic European vinifera and the remainder French hybrid vines, Folly Hill Vineyards, Va La Vineyards - offers award-winning wines made from rare varieties and unusual blends, Chaddsford Winery - nationally acclaimed winery on small scenic estate produces 30,000 cases of wine annually, Kreutz Creek Vineyards, Paradocx Vineyard - an independent vinifera and premium hubrid wine grape grower, and Smithbridge Cellars - specializes entirely in European vinifera.
The wineries of The Brandywine Valley Wine Trail are all located within a 30 minute drive of each other and near other Brandywine Valley attractions like Longwood Gardens, Winterthur, the Brandywine River Museum, and other fine restaurants and antique shops. Make a weekend of it or save your passport and come back to visit us. Your passport is good for a year. Please note that most wineries are open on weekends only.

Savor the beauty of the Brandywine Valley in the southeast corner of Pennsylvania 30 minutes from Philaelphia and the elegant surroundings of Hamanassett Bed and Breakfast. You will enjoy sumptuous cuisine prepared by you in a one or two day hands-on cooking class. Brandywine Country Cooking School features recipes and techniques for preparing extraordinary menus themed to a particular time of the year or special occassion. Our cooking school starts on Sunday evening with a welcoming reception and then you are on your own for dinner. Monday morning right after breakfast the class starts. Techniques and recipes are shared to help you prepare a special menu paired with wonderful wines. Classes are held at various times of the year and feature various cuisines. Class are led by a professional chef.
Brandywine Country Cooking School participants enjoy two nights' accommodations with breakfast each morning, a welcome reception on Sunday evening, and lunch and dinner on class day that you have helped prepare. Also included are a Hamanassett apron to take home and a tote bag. Rooms are on a first come first serve basis so book early and snap up one of our king suites! You might consider extending your trip beyond the cooking class. We will be happy to give you a discount for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
