Begin to feel relaxed and welcomed as you step into this magnificent historic mansion near the town of Chambersburg, located in South Central Pennsylvania. The Inn at Ragged Edge is only 20 miles from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
This 17,000 square foot house is beautifully decorated and we are dedicated to providing you with a peaceful stay including a delicious breakfast each morning. This grand house also features a large wrap around porch where one can hide away with a good book or just sit and enjoy the nature surrounding you. Its 8 guest and common rooms provide plenty of privacy while still maintaining that personal attention and touch which would be expected at a bed & breakfast. We are only about 103 miles to the Baltimore and Washington DC airports. Come and enjoy this peaceful estate.

Colonel Moorehead Kennedy built this house as his summer home in 1900. Kennedy, a stately Victorian man, was best known for his involvement with the railroad, as he was President of the Cumberland Valley Railroad and Vice President of the Pennsylvania Railroad and he used this house to entertain his many dignified guests. Just to mention a few were Brigadier General Atterbury, French General Foch, and General Purshing.

This house is truly amazing with its beautiful chestnut wood stairway adorned with hard carved designs. The dining room is stunning with its beautiful mahogany walls where a full course breakfast is served each morning.
The Inn offers 8 spacious guest rooms all with private baths, king & queen size beds, flat panel TV's w/DVD, air conditioning and soft terry robes.
Chambersburg and the surrounding area is known for its state parks, Gettysburg Battlefield and National Park, antique shopping, Antietam Battlefield, golfing, skiing, wineries, the historical Capital Theater and Totem Pole Playhouse. We are centrally located for day trips to Hershey, Harpers Ferry, Washington D.C., and Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland, just to mention a few.
