Sayre Mansion is the Lehigh Valley's premier urban inn, located in the heart of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Originally the home of town icon and entrepreneur, Robert Sayre, the mansion offers a glimpse of the grace and elegance of yesteryear. Meticulously restored, this Bethlehem bed and breakfast features luxurious comfort in each of the 22 guest rooms and suites. Carriage House Suites
The recently refurbished Carriage House has a varied history and features architectural elements as unique as the main house. The spacious suites retain the historical ambiance and "living quarter" feel of the original building. Each suite offers original hardwood floors, free WiFi, telephone with voice mail, hair dryers, bathrobes, iron, ironing board, refrigerators and coffee makers. Sayre Mansion Inn offers all the amenities of a modern hotel with a blend of old-world elegance and full corporate services (email the innkeeper for corporate rate information). Each beautifully restored room is unique in design and appearance, but all come with a full, hearty breakfast and the gracious attention of the Sayre Mansion Inn staff. A wedding reception at the Sayre Mansion Inn is a breathtakingly beautiful occasion. The Inn sits on two acres of picturesque grounds adorned with century old trees, which provide a unparalleled setting for your special day. Our dedicated staff will assist you with all the details, such as florists, musicians, photographers (and more) to suit your needs.
GUEST SIZEBetween April and October, weddings can accommodate up to 150 guests incorporating the use of our parlors, porch and the patio, which adjoins an elegant 30' x 60' tent to the mansion. Throughout the year, we are equally well suited for smaller intimate gatherings using the interior of the mansion.OUTDOOR TENTThe 30'x 60' tent can seat up to 150 guests with space for a dance floor and entertainment. It has protective sidewalls with arched windows allowing your guests to relax and enjoy the elegant ambiance of a tented affair even if the weather is inclement. (If the need arises, heating or air conditioning is available for the tent at an additional cost.)TIMEA wedding reception at The Sayre Mansion is a five hour affair. The grounds are also available at no additional charge for the wedding ceremony. All music must end by 10:00 p.m. due to a very strict noise ordinance in the City of Bethlehem. We ask that the event conclude by 11:00 p.m.COSTOur site fee is in the range of $3,500. We recommend an initial site visit with our events coordinator. At this time we can give you a tour of the facilities as well as discuss the cost, services available, and terms of the agreement.FOOD & BEVERAGEOur premier caterer, Catering by Karen Hunter, will provide menus and all the service details to customize a unique event for you. Contact her directly at 610-770-1300. We recommend that you meet with her at our site to discuss your plans. We do not have a liquor license but do allow you to furnish your own wine and spirits for events at The Sayre Mansion. Karen is available to guide you through this process.OVERNIGHT LODGINGTwenty-one guest rooms complete with private bath, telephone, and air conditioning are available for you to house your overnight guests. Your family and friends will welcome the opportunity to enjoy a "home away from home" experience while attending your wedding. When you choose a date at the inn for your wedding we put a hold on the available guest rooms with a credit card guarantee. Rates for double occupancy range from $160 to $295. We strongly recommend using all of our rooms to insure the privacy of your event.MANSION FOR A DAYHave the mansion and grounds to yourselves when you reserve all 21 overnight guestrooms. We will guarantee you uninterrupted seclusion throughout your stay. You will have exclusive use of the mansion from 3 pm until noon of the following day, with our entire staff at your beck and call around the clock.ADDITIONAL GATHERINGSWe offer two packaged parties — "just desserts" and wine and cheese — which are perfect for bridal showers, bridesmaid get-togethers, and pre-wedding gatherings of any kind!
