Situated high on a hill with a magnificent view of historic Main Street, the Amethyst Inn is a massive, heavily verandaed home built in the 1830s. Architectural elements are being painstakingly clad in seven colors - shades of amethyst, gold, lavender and forest green. A magnificent 9-foot intricately carved front door welcomes guest into Victorian splendor and warm hospitality. All guest rooms feature queen or king size beds with gas log fireplaces and two person whirlpools, some rooms feature steam showers or multi-jetted massage showers. Adamstown Vacation Home features plenty of property for kids and pets to run and play.
The Home also has a large back patio where family barbeques will be the talk of the summer.

Relax in your private Two Person Jacuzzi or read by the gas log fireplace. The Cobalt Suite features a queen size bed dressed with a down comforter and featherbed. An antique davenport bed is featured in the sitting area which will sleep 1 to 2 more guest. Your own private balcony features an antique porch swing. $199 per night, each additonal person is $15.

 The Ruby Suite features two gas log fireplaces, one in the guest room and a second in the sitting room, and a private entrance. This spacious guest room offers a captivating two person whirlpool with a view of the fireplace and a king size bed complete with a cozy down feather bed. A European steam shower is the final indulgence. The Ruby Suite is located on the first floor and the perfect choice for your much needed retreat. $239 a night.  This room also features a pull out sofa bed in additional sitting room.  $15 for extra person.

A spacious guest room with a bay window, and cottage style furniture features a king size octagonal bed complete with a therapeutic memory foam mattress, Two Person Jacuzzi, and a gas log fireplace. Rate $189

This luxury room features a King size bed (dressed with a down comforter and feather bed), Two Person Whirlpool Tub, gas log fireplace, European Style steam shower, and a private balcony with a relaxing porch swing. The Topaz Room is decorated with period antiques including a hand painted wardrobe, antique rope bed and carpet rocker. The queen size bed comes complete with a cozy down feather bed and comforter. A gas log fireplace and a Two Person Jacuzzi makes this a perfect romance destination. $149

Bed and Breakfast Accommodations:

• Rates:  $525 a night
• Reservations are recommended. There is a 2 night minimum stay on weekends and holidays, We do drop our two night minimum on the Wednesday before the weekend.
• Deposit payment of 1/2 the total room rental or $50 (which ever is greater) is required as deposit.
• VISA, MC, and personal checks accepted.
• Our cancellation policy is 14 days. Refunds are honored less a $15 cancellation processing fee, if we are able to re-rent your accommodations. If we are unable to re-rent the room we will have to retain the 50 % deposit.
• Restrictions: No pets. Cecil, our Old English Sheepdog would not understand.
• Well behaved children over the age of 12 are welcome.
• For your safety and to protect the house and furnishings, smoking is permitted outside only.
• Check-in for both Inns is at THE AMETHYST INN, 144 West Main Street.
• Breakfast for both Inns is served in the dining room of the Amethyst between 7:30 am and 9:00 am.

Cottage Accommodations:

• Cottages: $525 a night
• Reservations are recommended. There is a 3 night minimum stay on weekends and holidays, We do drop our three night minimum on the Wednesday before the weekend. An additional cleaning fee will be charged if the reservation is less than 3 nights.
• Deposit payment of 1/2 the total cottage rental is required as deposit.
• VISA, MC, and personal checks accepted.
• Our cancellation policy is 30 days. Refunds are honored less a $50 cancellation processing fee for the cottages and a $75 cancellation processing fee for the Vacation Home, if we are able to re-rent your accommodations. If we are unable to re-rent the accommodations we will have to retain the 50% deposit.
• We're pet friendly! Well behaved, housebroken dogs accepted. Security deposit required for pets. Dogs may not be left unattended in the cottage. Crates are available upon request
• For your safety and to protect the house and furnishings, smoking is permitted outside only.
• Continental breakfast and daily housekeeping is available at the cottages for an additional fee.
