Prospect Historic Hotel-Motel and Dinner House

Prospect Historical Hotel/Motel and Dinner House, located near Crater Lake and the Rogue River, offers warm and inviting accommodations in the natural beauty of Oregon. The hotel, built in the late 1800s and listed in the National Register of Historic Places, is a magnificent stage house with grounds that are great for strolling or just relaxing after a long day's hike.

The Southern Oregon area is known around the world for its beauty and diversity. Just a few miles from the hotel, you'll find such breathtaking attractions as the Rogue River, Umpqua National Forest, Pearsoney Falls, Avenue of the Boulders, and Mt. Ashland. The pride of Southern Oregon is Crater Lake, which President Theodore Roosevelt called one of the wonders of the world. For the outdoor enthusiast, the Prospect area offers rafting, boating, camping, hiking, bicycling, fishing, hunting, cross-country skiing, horseback riding and more.

The Hotel

The hotel features the best in Oregon lodging. Gracious decor and amenities are sure to make for a pleasurable experience.

  • $140 - $205 May through October
  • $120 - $185 November through April
• Mastercard, Visa, Discover and Diner's Club are accepted
• The Dinner House may also be reserved for weddings, parties, meetings and other events.
• Pets are allowed in motel units only.
• All hotel rates include a hearty breakfast in our dining room.

Motel Units

Nestled in the woods behind the main house, the 14 motel units built in the late 1980s offer exceptional privacy and convenience. The motel is accommodating to travelers with large groups, families, or pets, and to those needing extra accessibility. The motel rooms feature TVs, phones, full baths and accommodations ranging from 1 queen, 2 queens, 1 queen with 2 twins, or 2 queens with 2 twins. Kitchenettes are available in some rooms. All rooms are non-smoking. Some units are wheelchair accessible. Please ask when making reservations.

Rates:

• $90-$145 May through October
• $70-$125 November through April

We have gorgeous facilities for weddings. You can be married inside the Historic Hotel, or outside in our courtyard, or with the wildflowers as a backdrop around our trout pond, in the Gazebo, or out on the park like grounds, or even at Crater Lake (special permission is required from the park service). Then we can cater dinner for your small or large crowd. We can easily accept up to 70 people for inside dining, and considerably more on our beautiful 5.5 acre property.

Kids of all ages are welcome!

Unfortunately the Historic Hotel rooms are all located on the second and third floors. However we do have a handicap accessible room in our modern Motel (right on the same property) and our Restaurant (located on the first floor of the Hotel) is handicap accessible.

Well Mannered pets are welcome in our modern motel units.
