The Lightkeeper's Inn Bed & Breakfast front of innWelcome to The Lightkeeper's Inn!

Come and relax in a most unique part of Newport. A location that is tucked away on a hill, overlooking the Yaquina Bay and Historic Bayfront. Our suites provide a tranquil ambiance that is ever changing. Each suite has its own gas fireplace, Dish TV and DVD player.

You will have hors d'ovres and wine waiting for you in your private suite, or if you prefer, we can provide other snack trays and beverages.

Evenings at The Lightkeeper's Inn are mesmerizing. As the sun sets, you can watch the bayfront transform into a quiet harbor. The lights in the harbor gradually begin to light the walkways. The fishing vessels come in throughout the evening and light up the bridge as they come in. On occasion, you may see our Coast Guard practicing maneuvers in the bay. The Coast Guard's helicopter also can be seen doing maneuvers as well. You can watch the Wecoma and NOAA vessels come in, while enjoying a hot cup of coffee on the deck off your suite!

Don't forget the 4th of July. You can bundle up and go out onto the deck and watch the fireworks or... watch from your suite! The fireworks are shot directly across from us... FABULOUS!

This was our first experience at a B & B and it was wonderful. I doubt any other B & B could surpass or even match the wonderful treatment we received at the Lightkeepers. Cheryl is a warm, inviting host who does the most to make your experience enjoyable. Not only did Cheryl decorate our room to celebrate our wedding anniversary, she left sweet little cheesecakes in our room as a surprise to end our wonderful evening in Newport. The view is gorgeous, the home is extremely clean, the restaurant recommendations were right on the mark and we couldn't have asked for more yummy food. Cheryl is an excellent cook preparing delicious, bountiful breakfasts. And on our departure date, Cheryl sent us on our way with 8 homemade cinnamon rolls that were delicious. We couldn't has asked for a more lovely experience. We did stay at another B & B in Oregon after the Lightkeepers and, although it was nice, it didn't come close to the wonderful experience we had at the Lightkeepers. We intend to stay at the Lightkeepers the next time we visit the Newport area.

We spent two lovely nights at The Lightkeeper's Inn and found it to be more than advertised! Our hosts Cheryl and Bill went out of their way to make our stay memorable, which was very much appreciated since we were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. They had wine and a hot hors d'oeuvre waiting for us upon our arrival and a lovely chocolate (gluten-free!) dessert for us on our second night. They decorated the door to our room with a wonderful anniversary sign -- as if the room with its gorgeous view of the bay wasn't enough! This is an excellent jumping off point for seeing more of the Oregon Coast or Bill can give you driving tips to get you through the valley for wine tasting, fishing, hiking or whatever activity appeals to you. We will definitely stay here again and know that, when we do, we'll be greeted like family.

One of the best Bed and Breakfast accommodations that we have stayed on our travels. Amazing views of Yaquina Bay, the hustle and bustle of the harbor, and the best breakfast you can find. Cheryl and Bill are like visiting family and they have all of the information you need to make your trip to the Oregon coast awesome.
