Welcome to The Lightkeeper's Inn!Come and relax in a most unique part of Newport. A location that is tucked away on a hill, overlooking the Yaquina Bay and Historic Bayfront. Our suites provide a tranquil ambiance that is ever changing. Each suite has its own gas fireplace, Dish TV and DVD player.
You will have hors d'ovres and wine waiting for you in your private suite, or if you prefer, we can provide other snack trays and beverages.
Evenings at The Lightkeeper's Inn are mesmerizing. As the sun sets, you can watch the bayfront transform into a quiet harbor. The lights in the harbor gradually begin to light the walkways. The fishing vessels come in throughout the evening and light up the bridge as they come in. On occasion, you may see our Coast Guard practicing maneuvers in the bay. The Coast Guard's helicopter also can be seen doing maneuvers as well. You can watch the Wecoma and NOAA vessels come in, while enjoying a hot cup of coffee on the deck off your suite!
Don't forget the 4th of July. You can bundle up and go out onto the deck and watch the fireworks or... watch from your suite! The fireworks are shot directly across from us... FABULOUS!
During the day, there is much to explore, all within walking distance. You can walk to the beach, stroll through the State Park or visit "The Haunted Lighthouse". Wander the Historic Bayfront and shop in some of the beautiful galleries; visit our candy shops for a treat, go on down to the docks and watch the seals!
Your Breakfast Awaits
Would you like to enjoy your hot homemade breakfast in your suite, on the deck, or in our dining room. The choice is yours and there is a fabulous view from any of these rooms. Breakfast is served between 8:30am - 10:00am. Just let us know!Amenities

The Lightkeeper Suite
The Lightkeeper Suite is dedicated to the memory of Cheryl's great-grandfather, Harry Mahler. He was a light keeper on the west coast in Oregon and Washington. There are books with short stories of the lighthouses on the Pacific Coast as well as interesting reading on the history of Newport. The suite also has WI FI, Dish TV, & DVD player. And... There's nothing like a romantic fire going in your room to help you relax in your queen size bed!
The Shell Seeker SuiteThe Shell Seeker suite is dedicated to those who love to hunt for the ocean's treasures... shells, glass floats, agates, mermaids. A comfy queen size bed awaits you. Lay your head down and dream away. The Shell Seeker quite also has books with short stories of Newport and life on the coast. WI FI, Dish TV, DVD player, and of course, a gas fireplace to keep you toasty warm...

Rates & Reservations
- Our nightly rate is $195 + tax
- Check in time is between 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm. (If you need to come later, just give us a call to let us know.)
- Check out time is 11:00 am.
- To confirm your reservation, a first night's payment is required and will serve as your deposit.
- We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express & Discover.
- A confirmed reservation can be cancelled with more than 14 days notice and you will receive a full refund less a $25 service fee.
- Cancellation or shortened stays with less than 14 days notice, forfeit their deposit unless we are able to re-book your suite.
- Each suite accommodates two adults.
- We are a non-smoking, smoke free establishment.
- Sorry no pets.
- The Lightkeeper's Inn is not suitable for children.
