Housed in one of gold-rush Jacksonville's early permanent structures, the Jacksonville Inn perpetuates the nostalgic romances of that era. Built in 1861, the walls of the dining area and lounge were built of locally quarried sandstone, and
specks of gold are still visible in the mortar. The town is the first in America to be named a National Historic Landmark, and Jacksonville has preserved its 19th Century charm.
Located in the heart of this national landmark town, The Inn is an elegant historic bed and breakfast featuring luxurious Honeymoon Cottages. Gerry Frank of the Portland Oregonian named the Inn as the "Most Romantic" lodging in Oregon.
As one of Oregon's most acclaimed restaurants, it received the Medford Mail Tribune's "Readers' Choice Award" for five consecutive years as "Best Restaurant." The Wine and Gift Shop has over 2,000 wines and received Wine Spectator magazine's "Best of Award of Excellence," one of 600 in the world.
We offer two unique lodging options at the Jacksonville Inn. Our main building the Historic Hotel provides eight individual and elegant hotel rooms with queen-size beds. They are modern and contemporary, while maintaining the distinctive decor of their rich past.
Our four cottages are wonderfully appointed and provide a fantastic level of privacy while being located conveniently close to the main Hotel and Restaurant. Each is unique in decoration but they all share tasteful style and luxurious details.
Cottage 10, the Frank Carter Cottage, is wheelchair accessible and meets ADA requirements. All of our accommodations include breakfast at the Inn. -

The Latourette Room
This intimate dining room is perfect for the couple announcing their engagement to special friends and relatives, for the friends organizing a wedding shower, and for a rehearsal dinner. The room is named for the one of the owners of the Inn’s pioneer family, who traveled East along the Oregon Trail in the 1800’s and settled in Oregon City, Oregon, along the Willamette River. They were primarily lawyers and bankers, prominent citizens who contributed immensely to the growth of that pioneer town and the state of Oregon.
Maximum capacity: 24 seated dining
Catering exclusively by the Jacksonville Inn.
Williamson Room
This large dining room has been the scene of several small, very private weddings. The cozy fireplace with mantel can be the centerpiece of the room, supporting the warmth and intimacy of the occasion; or the windowed area of the room, overlooking the main street of historic Jacksonville, can enhance the special moment with its light and openness. This room is named for Jo Williamson, a beloved “first hostess” for the Inn, who worked many years along side the Evans’ family in developing the ambiance for The Inn in the early days of their ownership.
Maximum capacity: 80 seated dining; 100 reception style.
Catering exclusively by Jacksonville Inn.
Cottage Grounds
This exceptional location provides an all-inclusive arrangement for the Bride and Groom. The four honeymoon cottages, surrounded by the beautifully coiffured lawns adorned with bright blooming flower beds, provide the wedding party and family with exquisite lodging and convenience. The lovely gazebo is a striking focal point, enhancing the wedding ceremony in this intimate setting. Following the wedding, our professionally trained catering staff quickly enhances the wedding with a fully catered reception, prepared by The Inn’s outstanding Executive Chef and staff. Add to the occasion the wonderful sunny and warm Southern Oregon weather, and you have the opportunity for an unforgettable wedding.

Jacksonville is one of only few cities in the United States designated a National Historic Landmark. It has preserved its 19th Century charm and each year attracts thousands of visitors, who enjoy browsing through the art galleries, restored historic homes, and antique shops.
From June to September, Jacksonville is also home to the Peter Britt Music Festival, a summer-long concert series featuring world-class performers in Classical, Jazz, Folk/Country, Musical Theater and Dance, which takes place in the outdoor amphitheater especially designed to accommodate the spectacular view of the beautiful Rogue Valley. Guests can spread their blankets on the lawn and enjoy a special picnic dinner (prepared by the Jacksonville Inn, of course) or reserve stadium seats for the superb performances on the starlit nights that consistently grace the summer evenings in Jacksonville.
In addition to the many attractions Jacksonville has to offer visitors, its location in the Rogue Valley makes it the perfect destination from which to enjoy nearby attractions such as Crater Lake National Park, the Oregon Caves, or the renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, as well as jet boat rides, white-water rafting, fishing, hiking, cycling, and downhill and cross-country skiing. -
